I'm fine with the NHL taming the game down from the wild west days, but only a bit. Now players don't hit, but do other infractions, like cross check in front of the net every chance they get which never gets called. Sticks are flying up around the head all the time. Sure helmets help but that's just as dangerous as a good legal hit. To ref hockey is a very hard job because of the speed of the game. Then you get to watch infractions in slomo and some hits look worse than they are.

Times change.
$ the arrangement works quite well for the iihf. Hockey canada then does a bidding process amongst the cities on Canada to host. They also profit immensely.

Its good that Lutz gets more icetime. Thats what i wanted for him this year.
Same for Szuber.

And while both already have playoff experience, Szuber had a bigger impact in Munich than Lutz.
Of course Szuber is a bit older, but still as a defensive Dman he played really well during the seasons, the playoffs and the Worlds.

Overall we can be happy with our prospects.

And MavLam 1 of 3 players of the tournament for Canada.
Geekie was very solid all tournament (minus the game he was ejected from on the first shift).

Not quick but fast, great stick, great passing.

For Maveric, he is not as nimble as you might prefer but only weakness might be his shot.

Both kids tall and need to grow into their bodies.

Not entirely true. The other owners are why we are here. GB probably had much input, but the Board of Governors have final say.
I’m sure Gary is very convincing. I doubt the other owners could care less, as long as their pockets are being lined with the money from TV deals.
