Kid still has pimples... Let him continue developing/maturing in London.
This kid looks like a player. He's has all the tools... looking to be a good NHLer. Hopefully he can put it altogether in the OHL this year.
At the draft I really didn't know much about him and thought it looks like a stretch but he's proving otherwise so far.
how the tone shifts
He reminds me of Sébastien ahoI don't see the tone shifting. He's had a great camp, he's performed well in practices too. Thrilled that he looks like the real deal. I don't think many people thought he'd be on the main squad this year, but back in the OHL with London. I hope he has a great year with them, continues to improve, and maybe next year, or the year after can join the Leafs.

There is a chance he joins team in playoffs .. but regular season hockey will be in LondonI don't see the tone shifting. He's had a great camp, he's performed well in practices too. Ranked 2nd in the CHL right now...and just picked up the reigning Playoff MVP goaltender in Simpson. So they will most likely make a long run.Is London a good team this year? I suppose it might depend some on how far they go into the playoffs.
no idear .. my kids have all gone through junior now .. so only a couple of old buddies who still work in league .. but London usually always has a decent team with Kitchener and WindsorIs London a good team this year? I suppose it might depend some on how far they go into the playoffs.
Ah yes, because one preseason tells us everything. I’ll admit he looked pretty good but at least let him play in the regular season first. It’s too early to say you told me so.I will just leave this here for the haters of the pick...
Told you so.
Too early for him to say i told you so but it wasn't too early for you to hate the pick, eh?Ah yes, because one preseason tells us everything. I’ll admit he looked pretty good but at least let him play in the regular season first. It’s too early to say you told me so.
"Small", not eye popping numbers, was ranked in the 2nd round by a bunch of qualified internet scouts that never get anything wrong.Too early for him to say i told you so but it wasn't too early for you to hate the pick, eh?
It's only "because one preseason" if you didnt know the player before the draft, which you clearly did not, so what was your hatred of the pick based on?

Formal contract stipulations actually prevented him from having any official input at the draft until after the first round had been finalized. A complicated situation to say the least

This will be the Leafs' first NHL Draft with Treliving as general manager, but he won't be present at the draft table.www.sportingnews.com
Hit the nail on the head right there, very well said I love it. Too quick to judge positively but it is never too quick to have negative judgements apparently...Too early for him to say i told you so but it wasn't too early for you to hate the pick, eh?

London is considered one of the top teams this yearIs London a good team this year? I suppose it might depend some on how far they go into the playoffs.
I knew the player, I thought he was small with bad numbers and didn’t bring the physicality the leafs need. IMO, they should have been searching for some of that. Instead, they drafted yet another sub-6 foot forward after so many previously did not work. Left many of us disappointed.Too early for him to say i told you so but it wasn't too early for you to hate the pick, eh?
