Proposal: Boston trade chips

The bruins are dead in the water, they just don’t know it yet. The past couple seasons were their last chance. They need to sell whatever they can and get ahead of the rebuild before a couple years of mediocrity force their hand. They have no prospects, all of their new contracts are underperforming and their good home grown players are aging. It’s going to be steady decline from here on out. I think everyone should be available from their POV, for the right price.
We, the humbled fan base know it. It's the management team that won't admit it.

Calm down its not that bad

Marchy 1st round pick and 2nd round pick
Frederic 1st round pick.

Take it or leave it.

Are we going for a retool or rebuild? A late/mid pick are unlikely to help this team until Pasta, Swayman, McAvoy are all in their 30s.

I feel like if it's a retool then targeting prospects that are approaching NHL ready is probably a better option.

Frederic for a 3rd

Pass. They'd likely get a better offer.

If you wanted to "re-tool" you could take those picks and flip them before or at the draft for NHL players

Trent Frederic isn't getting a first, especially after that Jeannot fiasco. Teams will be super hesitant in that.

Mid/late 2nd? Sure, that's a possibility.
What I've learned is never underestimate how stupid GMs can be if they strongly desire more toughness on their team, but generally speaking I think most GMs have wised up and it's unlikely that anyone would pay an excessive price like a 1st for Frederic.

If the Canucks can't find a younger, better option to plug that 2C hole...i'd be kind of curious about Coyle. Depending on the acquisition cost. The extra year on that contract at not insignificant money makes it a bit risky, but i think he'd be a solid fit with a Tocchet team as a good 2-way player and would add that RH Center i'm sure they would really like to have. Would end up being a sort of "2C by committee" thing with Chytil as a pair of sort of 3C options, and hope the Wingers can carry it. Far from ideal, but it'd be an upgrade...and might be more feasible with the assets Vancouver has to realistically deal.

Until all their competition has added and the clock is ticking fastly approaching 3pm and the panic button is in reach

In terms of draft pick value, I would think...

Marchand: 1st and a B prospect or hang onto him.
Carlo: 1st or two 2nd's
Coyle: 2nd and 4th
Frederic: 2nd

But honestly, I hope the Bruins are able to get young NHL'ers or NHL ready prospect of roughly equal value.
This is what I hope happens as well. I’d be okay with them shopping Korpisalo as well, not expecting much back, but maybe a playoff team with a hurt goalie
