I’d be worried Cuylle would get the bench the next game if it weren’t for Dylan Guenther looking so terrible and Sourdif maybe getting himself suspended lol.

Shots obviously limited, but at least he didn’t wilt down, both goalies will gets shots with the back to backs.

The replay showed there wasnt even close to a crease violation , what the hell is the ref looking at lmao.

Berard is soo good with the puck along the boards, great edges and stickhandling. He was just dipping around for a good 15 seconds with the puck away from the defender.

Big 3-2 win by the US!

Thought Berard was very noticeable in a good way out there. He always seems to be around the puck and it’s always on his stick. No points tonight but they will definitely come. Had a couple very good chances in the 2nd and 3rd periods.

One of the things I love most about BB's game is that he grinds, but he's also smart enough to know where and (more importantly) when to move to uncontested ice. One shift he's hunting down the puck like a rapid hound and the next he's purposely entering the zone late so he can arrive in the slot unnoticed. He's also very good at making himself available to his teammates. Testament to his hockey sense.

I also noticed this. No matter big or small, the really great scorers like Panarin, Pasternak, McDavid, Drai etc the one thing they have in common that’s uncanny is they always seem to pop up at the right time, or the puck tends to follow them around the ice.
I’m in no way saying Berard is a shoe in to be that type of scorer in the NHL, but every time I watch him he seems to possess this quality.
Othmann likely should have earned a spot on Canada’s roster. I hope he takes the snub Personel and plays with a chip on his shoulder the rest of the way.

You need a mix . Canada has tried that before with too much skill and not enough muscle ...and lost . It's the same for NHL clubs...you need the sandpaper guys in the playoffs . It is not simply a skills competition....it's a war and the battles have to be won .
Wasn’t the reason people were upset with us taking Othmann because he didn’t have enough skill and was just sandpaper?

Berard has that Callahan vibe to him and i like it. I'm hopeful this organization doesn't rush things, id love if Laf, Kakko, Berard, Othmann, Baron, were the answers to our forward problems, and i think they can
