Honestly should just use Richards in this mop up role instead. Time to end the Kikuchi experiment.

I dont know why they didnt do this at the deadline. I would have done it after the Betts trade but they did get a good run out this team last year. But at the deadline they really should have taken advantage and sold. Hopefully they dont mess this up again this offseason, though that would be good for us.
Unless he has a no trade clause Boegarts should have been dealt. They can trade Devers and if Sale can build up his value they can trade him too.

Don’t think that’s the route they will go

Heaven help us.. are we now just dealing with the yips? It's possible his anxiety is at a level he just can't pitch... needs to be on the DL.

He did offer to go down to Buffalo to sort it out. You'd think that would be a low-stress environment to fix things.

I question how much DLing him would work though, especially given his background. Japan is very big on "put your head down and just work harder if things aren't going your way. And if it's not turning around you're just not working hard enough, so shut up and don't complain." to the point that I'd think taking time off for something other than legitimate physical illness/injury would be viewed in a negative light and might actually make things worse for him.

It is possible... perhaps they could come up with a stiff neck or sore rotator cuff and take him by the hand to a psychologist... preferably a Japanese speaking one.

After tonight the Jays have 3 starters in the top 30 in fWAR;
2. Gausman:
4.8 fWAR
T18. Manoah: 2.9 fWAR
T27. Stripling: 2.6 fWAR

Would also like to point out that Luis Castillo has a 2.7 fWAR in 18 starts to Stripling's 2.6 in 17 starts.

Zimmer had 8 hits, 5 walks and 3 RBIs in 87 PAs.

JBJ has 4 hits, 2 walks and 4 RBIs in 17 PAs.

Looks like i was wrong to prefer Zimmer to JBJ.
