I actually enjoyed this ball game... the only part we will really regret was the bases loaded with 1 out. JBJ had done his job with the walk against the lefty and then we get exactly what we want and get nothing.

Good series... the Yanks look extremely vulnerable...that is my main take away.

Shouldn't Cole be the down dialing it down? Manoah did not hit Judge on purpose, there was no reason to. Cole is the one who got his jimmies rustled. Manoah did nothing wrong.

I think there is a better way for Manoah to relay the message without being aggressive. All he can say is " I didn't mean to hit Judge and I apologize to him." No point mentioning Cole. If he wanted to, all he could say is I thought Cole overreacted.

O yea, I see what you're saying. I like his feistiness. I am personally sick of fake tough guys like Gerrit Cole, though. If he wants to fight, he should have just stepped right up. But yes, I can see how Manoah should have said something different. I just love his intensity, though.

On one hand; yes, totally agreed. Nothing wrong with pitching with a bit of fire, so long as the fire doesn't burn out of control.

117 wRC+ in his career but this season only 38 wRC+ and 20% hard hit balls. 2021 was 62.5% hard hit with bases loaded.

Seems to have developed a case of the yips this year
