This inning is baffling. dinks and dunks and random flukey nonsense. The only really noticeable mistake from Berrios is the HR.
Guardians have given the jays problems all season, there approach at the plate is opposite of the jays. Just trying to make good contact with flat swings

How is a bunt that should have rolled foul not rolling foul, a couple of chinsy hits that happened to find a hole (one of which was basically in the dirt when hit) and a ball blasting off the pitcher's foot the pitcher's fault?
This team (and Berrios) has their lows but this is ridiculous

Berrios won't get the benefit of the doubt by using luck as the reason. He's just snowballed into a bad inning as has been the case this season. It's kind of astonishing his last outing wasn't a bad thing because his July was great. Whats the excuse now?

2 of those singles were nonsense. 1 of them dribbled down the 3B foul line and just barely didn't cross the line foul. The other went straight out to the 2B except it managed to catch Berrios' foot on the follow through and shot off into a hole in the D as a result. 90+ times out of a hundred those things don't happen and the hits become foul balls or outs.
You complain about excuses, but all I see is uninformed hot take tantrums. You don't even pretend to try and act like there's real thought or consideration in your opinions. It's just the loudest, angriest, buzzword-riddled freakout you can muster.
If you take sports performances this personally that your only reaction is frothing histrionics you might want to consider backing off and finding another hobby because that's not healthy.

That is on Berrios. It doesn't invalidate the acceptance of the stuff in the previous inning as flukey craziness, but accepting that doesn't also mean it's automatically absolving Berrios of his actual mistakes.

No. Of course not. and nobody that was saying the bad stuff that happened was unlucky was also saying that Berrios had been good. It was just that if you're going to bag on him, bag on him for the things that are actually his fault like the HRs/walks.

Berrios isn't healthy. Jays need to just shut him down because he isn't getting the same movement or swing and misses he has in the past. There is no other explanation for how out of character this year has been compared to his first 6 seasons. Something is definitely up.

This whole passive aggressive bout of luck comments about the HR is getting old.
It's part of why I haven't been around lately. Because it's no fun when the negativity is oppressive and constant and is now trying to drown out anyone who dares not admit that the sky is falling and everything is terrible.
