Not really. They didn't give up a lot for him. They dealt from a position of strength in LD to pick up a big 21 year old center who was a recent #3 pick. Worthwhile flyer. This is Habs analytics and the Team 33 group at work.

Probably an overpayment based on Dach's track record though. He's in a similar, if not worse position than KK last year.

Wright is irrelevant. Slafkovsky is the one the Habs picked and Slafkovsky is the one who has a record-low (or near to the record low) league points scored for a top3 pick.
