That interview Hughes gave a few months back when he said habs need to get bigger up front. He wasn't kidding.
Going to need to start taking what he says literally.

I'm ok with the Dach experiment. I hate losing Romy, but we're stacked at
D and i expect Guhle and Xekaj to replace him
 
Different contexts. They couldn't resign debrincat. But they gave up on Dach, who's a young cost control center. Major gamble for hughes
Not really. They didn't give up a lot for him. They dealt from a position of strength in LD to pick up a big 21 year old center who was a recent #3 pick. Worthwhile flyer. This is Habs analytics and the Team 33 group at work.

I work in consulting. Strategy stuff, etc. It's hard for me to stomach the risk the Habs took with the 1OA. The downside risk is immense.

And trading the 13OA for Dach isn't a buy-low, as you corrected me... it's quite a price for a guy whose value should've been bottomed out.
