Dach was a buy-low. Romanov isn't that good or valuable. It was laughable to consider him a core player. I like him and would've liked to keep him but yknow, he's not irreplaceable.

Kirby Dach can do more. With MSL + less likelihood to get benched for making a mistaken, maybe he will.
 
Dach's stats look an awful lot like Kotkaniemi....just saying.
Dach has 152 games of experience and was drafted in 2019 and JK 237 games and was drafted in 2018. Don't think this trade is made of Dach would have one more season of experience with the same production. Don't know Dach enough to judge but he should not be compared to JK he is younger and less experienced. It's not rare for young players to struggle in their first two full seasons.
 
The Habs have a few solid up and coming defensemen. I don't see losing Romanov as a big deal. Surprised it was for Dach. Romanov has skill but not the brains to match it.
