Because D take longer to develop. We have no good D in the 22-25 year old range that can grow with our young core of forwards. Again I like Romanov for Dach in a vacuum but it leaves us looking for some good, young nhl ready d-men.And this is a problem how? We are not trying to win next year.
Again i don't know Dach enough but the state of our defense doesn't matter in the evaluation of this trade. If Dach become a big top 6 center doing 60 points this is a good trade.
You guys are way too attached to Romanov. Guy couldn't even accidentally make and play in the offensive zone. 13 for Dach seems pricey however. 26+33 would have been way more palatable.
Never have I been so disappointed with this team. Just a mess wow.
He won't be #1 in Montreal.Dach was the most used center for the Hawks and mostly played with Debrincat and Kane yet has shit stats. I hope he explodes but man I'm not confident at all.
He did, but it was for Brassard. He also got a 2nd round pick.LOL no...this is a good start.
X - Suzuki - Caufield
Slafkovski - Dach - X
Still tanking next year
Remember everyone. Gorton went and got Zibanejad around at the same phase. I was kinda expecting something like this.
Seattle is crap. Wright would have been better off in Arizona.HF is crashing thanks to those 2 trades.
Wright to Seattle is great for him.
Montreal must really like Guhle & Xhekaj to trade Romanov.
We still have picks #26 & #33.
We traded our own 3rd & 4th round picks. We still have 2 other picks in those rounds.
