Yeah and now there is some talk that Finland is trying to bring Aatu Raty when he had similar situation.

I don't think there is any chance that is going to happen. Idle talk from Finland more then likely. Would open one hell of a can of worms. In multiple different ways.

Berard was injured in the first period. Hopefully nothing too serious.

Unfortunate to lose a game they were in easy control of but hopefully a good lesson for the team on how stupid, selfish play can and will cost the team. Savage should be suspended and stapled to the press box after that.

Sanderson and Kaiser were excellent on the backend. Faber, Hughes, and Morrow struggled.

Really liked Knies up front. Him and Cooley showed some nice chemistry once Cooley lost the nerves. Beniers had a rocky start but settled in to his normal self after awhile. Dickinson and Berard showed well too. Will need Coronato and Samoskevich to be a lot better.

Yeah, I'm pretty sanguine about the result. They generally played a great game outside of the first 10 minutes. Just a stupid play at the end that cost them.

I would bet that Savage feels pretty small right now. I have zero complaints about the call. As soon as my son and i saw it in real time we both said, "Major.".
So unnecessary, and dirty.

Wow Sanderson will be a beast , love his game,
Always though that Drysdale was better , but not sure anymore

Sanderson was putting on a clinic.
USAs best period was the 3rd until...
I really liked Cooley's game

I doubt Silverstein sees much more action.

I watched the game mostly paying attention to the wings prospects.

Savage will get a game or two from that, especially since its international hockey. I didnt think he was all that great before that hit either, but hes a draft +1 so hes not expected to necessrily stand out.

I actually thought Mazur was really good. Him, Cooley and Knies have a really nice mix of skill and grit that could make them a really effective line this tournament.

They are both great...Drysdale is doing very well in a far, far better league, so don't get carried away with how Sanderson looks here, or in the NCAA.

Get this Canadian dumbass Savage off the team. He should have been thrown out of the game earlier for a hit to the head. It's guys like this that can lose you a semi-final or final with one idiot move. Surely there are enough actual Americans playing hockey that USA Hockey doesn't have to put the son of every former Canadian NHLer/big donor on their national teams.

I guess better now than when it counts. Game in hand and Savage takes a boneheaded penalty. I hope he does sit and when he returns rides the pine a bit. Up until that point I thought the U.S. played a very tough, clean game. Defense looked good. I'm thinking we are going to need some players to step up offensively though. Someone like Cooley.

Anyone with any insight/thoughts on the line/pairing combos? Was looking forward to seeing Hughes in the top-4 and with some PP time, but from his usage today I don’t think he’ll be used in a situation where he’ll be able to contribute to his full potential unfortunately. More of a 3rd pairing/PK style. His role will likely increase next year. Will those lines/pairing stick? Was it the staff trying things out?
