I just watched the preview good to see they're still planning for Covid. Is Clarke the biggest non-invite since Nurse? I just don't understand why Sourdif is a lock Mckenzie people like Bedard, Bourgoult and Evangelista have to earn their way there. Why is Sourdif so special I don't get. Also a little nervous he didn't mention Lapierre at all.

I think they want to avoid a Kirby Dach situation which I don’t blame them.
Dach was a freak accident to an otherwise healthy player. That can happen to any player at any point. The fact that Byfield is coming off an injury means it’s probably better to allow him to work his way back in with a conditioning assignment. With Byfield due for a WJC breakout (returning for a third tourney), this is a great opportunity for the Kings to give him some ice time and a nice boost in confidence.

Byfield is recovering from a fractured ankle, no way LA risks letting him play, if they did Blake should be fired

I think that's a dramatic take. Broken bones heal stronger than they were before. Risk of aggravating the injury is pretty much nil.

I like Clarke and think he should have been invited to camp at the very least, but I'm also fine with him not being on the team. I do think he is a bit overrated and I don't love his knocked knee skating and overall I think he is a bit slow, I thought Zellweger looked much better at the u18's but this is still a shock. Hell I thought I was one of the few people who were low on him, but I still put on my team.
Lmao he’s been one of the best defenceman in the CHL all year but you don’t like his knock kneed stride? This is a legitimate reason to not even give him an invite lol?

I'm going to make prediction both before and after the invites are announced. My only omission in the before roster will be Clarke obviously. I will also assume Drysdale, Byfield, and Sillinger are not loaned, but if Byfield is, put him at 1C and move everyone else down.

Yeah, he will play in the AHL which is way kinder and softer league, than these U20 goons...
Its the same reason NHL teams don’t want their players to go to the olympics.

You want to protect your investments. Such a small minded take.

Schedule is apparently:

December 9 - Practice
December 10 - Practice
December 11 - Practice and USports game
December 12 - USports game
December 15 - team announced
December 17 - players enter bubble.

Shocked with Bedard a little bit.

Unless I missed them no Savoie’s.

Still puzzled about the Clarke omission
