Really? Rexall supposedly had the best ice in the league, did they fire the maintenance guy when they moved over to Rogers?
It's probably more the weather than anything - hot and humid outside makes things rough on the ice inside.

Should’ve gone with Lou Lamoriello. This could be a disaster...HC has appointed Andrea Skinner as interim CEO. Instead of a hockey person we have someone who's made a career of pushing a woke agenda. We'll see but I'm worried
I like that they tried Othmann with McTavish and Bedard. Things looked much smoother as he was more direct and in better position than when Roy was in that spot.
Credit to Cameron for making an obvious change. Roy wasn't working up there. Othmann doesn't need the puck to be effective.
Well, he actually had that line combination to start camp. Not sure why it took him so long to circle back but better late than never...Credit to Cameron for making an obvious change. Roy wasn't working up there. Othmann doesn't need the puck to be effective.
Probably already been covered, anyway, Shane wright in the lineup? He hurt?
You guys have so much talent in this forward group, and Garand looked fantastic. Honestly the Slovaks probably should have had 2-3 more goals, as impressed as I've been with the forwards I'd be pretty concerned with the quality of defending through the first two games. Slovakia got way more chances than they should have.

Yeah that one move woke up Roy and made the top line look more functional. Spacing was much better with Othmann.Sounds like Othmann was scratched by Cameron in the first game against Latvia due to penalties in the pre-tourney game against Sweden.
Glad to see he woke up and realized this guy needs to be in a prominent role on the squad. Too talented not to be.
Still don’t like that 2nd lineHoping Greig is OK. Lines seem to be shaking out a bit, at last.
Othmann-McTavish-Bedard
Johnson-Stankoven-Foerster
Ostapchuk-Greig-Dufour
Roy-Desnoyers-Cuylle
I don't think Roy is a center at this point in all honesty. Not sure the last time he played there. I would draw Foerster out personally and run something like this:Still don’t like that 2nd line
I’d go with
Othmann-McTavish-Bedard
Cuylle-Roy-Johnson
Greig-Stankoven-Dufour
Ostapchuk-Desnoyers-Foerster
It’s actually shocking how much better he looked on that other line. It just goes to show you that people think think it’s easy to play with two top players on your line but that’s not necessarily the case.Roy should be top 6, imo.
He looked so much better when he was moved to a different line last night.
Considering he plays in the WHL I dont see any team at the World Juniors intimidating him.Ditto with the sentiment regarding Roy. No point at all having him on the McTavish line. Perhaps with teams trying to intimidate Bedard someone a little more physically aggressive might be called for.
