Perfetti, Power, Wright, Guenther, Byfield, Sillinger, Jarvis, Neighbours, Bourgault, Bourque, Drysdale, Guhle, Clarke…
He was referencing our December team so guys like Byfield, Drysdale and the others in the NHL don’t count.

Hey, at least you know what you'll be doing tomorrow.
Not that.

Byfield, Sillinger, Jarvis, Clarke and Drysdale weren't on the team in December so that's irrelevant.

I thought Neighbours was okay in those two games but the rest were unnoticeable.

Bedard, Mac, and Johnson should be enough to attract a crowd

You said “the only impact players missing.” Well, there’s nearly a full team of them for you.

If you want to focus on the December team, Power and Perfetti are the biggest losses but Bourque, Bourgault, Neighbours, and Guhle would be top-6 and top-4 players respectively on every single team in this tournament.

I take back everything I said when posters were moaning about not getting pre tournament coverage of Slovak vs whoever in the Hlinka Gretzky tournament.

TSN is being an ass this year. What silliness, as if this is supposed to prove anything to us joe public peons.

This Too Shall Pass

Maybe it's a matter of subjectivity when I referred to "impact player"

The original point of the reply was about the lack of hype/attendance of the tournament.

Obviously Canada is missing some talent but the only real starpower missing were the two I named imo

At the end of the day, Canada is sending out a hell of a team after our first choices were taken. That's a positive.

I don’t understand your definition of “real star power” unless it’s so selective that it has no use.

Guhle would have an argument for best defenseman in the tournament if he was here. Bourque and Bourgault would be on the first line of every other country. How can you discount the loss of such players as negligible because you don’t see them as having a MacTavish-like impact?

This might be TSN 's way of distancing themselves from Hockey Canada for the time being. Or it could be a cost thing.
Good way to make sure everyone watches the Blue Jays or WWE (both on sportsnet), I guess.

TSN really doesn't have a ton of programming to be distancing themselves from one of the few things that gets the countries attention.

I went for a little exercise and, when I came home, Sweden had made it close. Grrrr. Still, it's nice to see a win.

It's important for this team to face a little adversity on the way to the playoffs. I would love to see us lose a game - it won't matter in the round robin.

That's what you get for exercising. Please refrain from getting your heart rate up during the medal rounds. Our country is depending on you.

Hockey Canada.ca is advertising their stream for tomorrow from the Woman’s U18 summer showcase intrasquad game. :banghead:
To be fair, hockey Canada did show every u17 camp game as well as u18 and u20 camp games, but not tonight’s game or the Hlinka teams pre tourney game vs Finland. Doesn’t make a lot of sense though at all

This tournament has not received much hype/attention (just like the Hlinka/Gretzky cup). I wonder how much of this is due to the ongoing Hockey Canada issues. This might be TSN 's way of distancing themselves from Hockey Canada for the time being. Or it could be a cost thing.
You’re likely right and it’s embarrassing
