Hi, I'm in Winnipeg and we are real happy getting him at 10 in the 2020 entry draft. There is a good chance he plays for the Jets after the WJC. Jets have some elite talent in our top 6 for him to play with.
#GoalPerfectti
The Olympics might be a real possibility now.

Connor mcdavid had 1 goal and 4 pts in 7 gp in his first U20. Crosby had 5 pts in 6 gp in his first U20. Beaded has 4 goals in 2 gp so far in his first U20….

So what your saying is mcdavid and Crosby didn’t play against weak teams? I don’t want to be disrespectful or confrontational, but please think through before posting…
Kinda sad that your first thought is to be disrespectful or confrontational, then insulting. McDavid played US, Czech, Slovakia, Germany, Switzlerand, Finland and Russia. Germany wasn't great, but they did beat Czech Republic 3-0. So no Austria level teams there it might seem.

Perefetti - McTavish-Bedard as a fisrt PP unit in PO round

It's a killing combo of skills to score with hockey sense and vision, they deserve and adjust each other to play together
like a top Bruins line imo

I find it amusing you cherry picked the Czech game but omitted that Germany got stomped by the US 8-0 and by Slovakia 9-2 with a Goal Diff.-17.

I wonder what the lines look like if everyone is ready to go today. Don’t love any of the lines other than the Neigh-Greig-Sourdif line.

Probably time to start exploring Wright playing more of a depth role - might free him up mentally and allow him to play looser. I thought Stankoven and Guenther were OK but still see them as the scratch/13th forward. Not sure where to slot in Bedard - he’s so puck dominant that it might be a waste having him with puck carriers line Perfetti and Johnson but he also needs a big role.

He and Perfetti looked to have some really good chemistry. Perfetti has a lot of Marner in his game, and Bedard a lot of Matthews, so I think that could probably work out okay.

I think I would run something like:

Perfetti - Bedard - Bourque
Johnson - McTavish - Stankoven
Neighbours - Greig - Sourdif
Cullye - Desnoyers - Wright

But I doubt Cameron puts 3 "smaller" guys on one line because reasons. You could also try to get Wright going by putting him back with Perfetti and Bedard. He should get a lot of open looks to use his shot with those two demanding most of the attention.

I'd like to see more out of Johnson, he has had his moments for sure but then seems to sort of disappear for sizeable stretches, I know he is capable of being more consistent and impactful.

I find there is a lot of "average" about this team so far. Aside from Bedard, Mctavish,Perfetti and Power and sometimes Guhle and Johnson the rest of the mix seem like a down year in talent for TC IMO. Seems like the rest is filled out with mostly o.k players who don't really stand out in any way, even the energy line looks very ordinary to me. I do like what Stankoven brings to the table, keep him in the lineup.

We could win gold but I wouldn't be surprised we go out in the semis, thankfully the rest of the field don't look all that strong either this year.

Greig and Bourque play very we'll, too.

A few posters have presented hypothetical line combos moving forward that see Bedard moved into a slot with different line mates.
But I have absolutely no idea why anyone would want to move Bedard off the line with Cuylle and Desnoyers.

Those three were dynamite together — at even strength, Bedard netted 3, and Desnoyers assisted on all of them, Cuylle on 2 of the 3.

Basically, 2 members of the supposed 4th line and the supposed 13th forward combined for 9 points.

Why mess with something that was so effective?

Some posters here think bedard will carry them to the gold. He is great player but we will see once competition gets stronger how he will react. We need to rely on mctavish power and guhl. I’m disappointed in wright to tell you the truth
