Bobby Margarita says those 2 are splitting the game tonight, Garand will likely start because hes the returning player but the actual starting role is up for grabs between those 2. Brochu is the clear third guy with the other 2 fairly even

That's fair. I don't see much separating the two of them at the moment, and it wouldn't be surprising if they have to use some of the tournament games to decide. Should be a far cry from the abysmal goaltending tandem Cameron had in 2011.

I also picked up some Bobby Margaritas today, not for myself but I will likely have a taste during the game tonight. Didn't realize that his drink was here yet. Not expecting a whole lot from it but I can move on to some Keith's quickly as a good cabbage roll accompaniment.

If someone could kindly provide a link to the game ... would be much appreciated.

This is such wholesome Canadian content, not going to lie, made me smile

Johnson is fun to watch

he plays the game on easy mode

Mostly good stuff so far, team has played really well and the coaches get to hammer home a learning opportunity on why taking 4 straight penalties against Russia is a bad idea.

Welp...that's Garand starting game 1 on Boxing day then...

Yep.

Not sure how much of that is Cossa coming in cold and facing 3 shots in like 15 mins but thats the type of goal thats gonna give Garand the reigns to start for sure

I liked Bedard's game when he moved up with Cole. I didn't notice Wright at all tonight, doesn't look like a 1OA caliber pick based on that game but we shall see how he fares during the tournament.

I've never seen Wright look like a 1OA caliber pick. He's a good young player with a solid two way game but his offensive play leaves much to be desired.

Yeah his ceiling doesn't look so high every time I see him play. He is a smart player that as you say is solid all around but he wasn't driving much offensively. Everything on that line went through Perfetti and I thought Bedard read off him better in a much shorter sample and that is why he potted one and looked good.

ideal tune-up game. wish we had two more...but such is life.

take the W and the pages of material that need to be worked on. Couple of good practices and let fly.

Still anticipating another Canada v USA GMG.

Don't think you're going to get that wish this year.

WJHC is almost impossible to predict anyway. That's what makes it so fun...

but Canada v USA is generally the most entertaining (aside from last year's final) brand of hockey there is on the international front.
