A poor man's Tyson Barrie. And you can get Barrie for free if you want him. Yeah he's an RD, but teams want RD they can use at both ends in big minutes, that's not Boqvist.
Yeah and when Tyson Barrie was an emerging young defenseman the Avs didn’t trade him until they were offered a top six center for him and he was in a contract year.

And I agree, that’s not Boqvist..right now. He’s 21. My goodness

Werenski took years to improve defensively.

There was smoke around this as the deadline approached so I don't doubt CBJ would be interested. Also, if we buy into any interest in McD from TBL, there is clearly fire (along with the club actually saying they need help on the back end). I've pined for Chychrun for some time now and think regardless of "handedness" he would be a top of the lineup player on the back end for us. I'd like the addition based on size, age, attributes, experience... he fits the core and could still be a good one on next contract. Has term and team control for 3 more years. Enough to open the window and at 24, young enough to be still in prime years.

I love Mintyukov but know he's a few years away and an unknown. Chychrun is a known and still young. I'd take that option (not at all cost).
Also pointed out on the mains that Chychrun has played the right side at times. I dont know how that level of play compares to the left side but hes done it

Chychrun seems like a fairly average player with an elite shot. Seems like the Jarmo type, and I don't like it.

The interest in the Dreger teeet is confusing to me. It’s a retweet. He adds no information. He takes the Hedger tweet at face value and adds a brief commentary. There is no more than what is in Hedger’s original tweet.

Sounds like you are new to "sports journalism". :D

(This is a comment on how awful it is, you obviously already know it).

I wouldn't touch that with a 40 ft pole. I'd rather have Texier than Chychrun, pick aside.
I guess I’m just thinking back to the trade deadline , and wondering if there is fire with all the smoke that Texier is traded . Yes Texier has looked great at times… especially last season.. but coming off prior season didnt he finish with like 1 goal in last 40 games or something ? Very streaky .. personally I wouldn’t trade him , I just wonder if he’s part of a bigger deal , like Texier , Bean, and 12 for Chychrun and 27 ?

I don't like that trade. Tex has that talent + grit combo that we are terribly short on. There are elite players in the NHL that weren't even in the league at age 21, so I don't care what he did at that age.

To me I take it as "Yeah, I am hearing the same thing" rather than just going with his reporting.

Is Chychrun injury prone? Isn't Boqvist injury prone as well? Kind of concerning if 2 of your top 6 is always injured. Or were their injuries just freak accidents and nothing to label them injury prone?

I have absolutely no interest in moving either Boqvist or Ceulemans.

At Boqvists age we still thought Werenski was an absolute tire fire defensively. Let's give another season or two to develop in our system. I still see Boqvist as a potential(keyword) RHD version of Z. That being said he definitely has some work and growth ahead of him to become that.

No desire to move Tex or Marchenko.

Everybody else (outside of the core) I could live with moving for the right price.

Why would Arizona want Bemstrom or Foudy if they have yet to even show potential as a NHL player? It’s like trading our garbage and expecting a gem stone
i would be shocked if they Would want them

As a main piece I agree, but they might prefer them instead of a mid to late pick. Especially a player like Foudy. Kid is almost a PPG in the AHL but just hasn't been healthy.

I guess deciding you want to move on from the CBJ isn't always what its cracked up to be is it?

I'll also add I think it is pretty clear we've won this trade by getting Boqvist, Sillinger, Jake Bean and another first this year while Chicago has what is probably a pretty unmovable contract at this point for the next several years.

In a world where the Jackets trade 12OA,Bean,Bemstrom/Chinakhov for Chychrun, does that almost guarantee 6OA will be a F?

Realistically I think Az is looking for 12 Texier and Bean.

Hopefully not if Jiricek is available. With good development over a few years hopefully see something like
Werenski-Jiricek
Chychrun-Peeke
Gavrikov-Ceulemans
or move Ceulemans up a pair and Boqvist with Gavy if hes still around over Peeke

I would probably still prefer one of Jiricek/Nemec if they’re available. Really would solidify the defense for years.

Would really like to get Chychrun. He's a true first liner in my opinion and he plays right D so could play with Zach. Seemed like Boqvist was good at times but also just seemed young/made mistakes also. Chychrun plays like a leader and also adds a lot offensively. I would definitely say he's worth a first rounder.

Who knows the real reasons why he wanted to “move on”, but, it’s not as if moving on from Jones has been all that great for the CBJ either.

CHI should have been in a better position to win games before dealing so many “futures” for Jones, but, there seems to be mostly biased and unrealistic evaluations regarding the impact Jones makes on the ice (along with his relatively “young” age) in relation to the group of guys he was traded for and their current impact and their MAX possible potential that they seem to already be valued as before they actually reach that quality of player or value of asset.

I personally seem to rate Bean higher than most, and look at Sillinger and Boqvist lesser than most.

I’d be interested to see what people would hypothetically offer for Jones back. I’d do Sillinger+Boqvist easy.

Throw in Peeke for both Jones’.
