How are you Devils fans holding up here...

I made a post yesterday saying I hope us habs get Wright, and asked if we take Slaf then would you guys be happy with Wright and most of you said yes. Turns out neither of us got him...just take a peek at our board if you want to see an absolute meltdown

Hope you guys are happy with Nemec...end even if you're not, I hope he turns into an absolute stud for you guys.

Loved seeing Brodeur up there too, he's way more likeable without his hockey gear shutting us out.

Ughhuh that Tkachuk news is a gut punch. Would have been a dream.
It does suggest Fitz sees what we seem to be seeing at least and he’s making some sort of effort. Let’s see what happens if Gaudreau signs in PHI and Tkachuk tells Calgary he’s not extending with them.

Damn, I really wanted to trade that pick for Tkachuk. Calgary is stupid, their window is closed and Tkachuk is walking as soon as he can.

Glad Fitz at least made an attempt

Tkachuk as a player is worth it if signed, but the vibes around him and St. Louis feel like the Tavares/Tor/Islanders vibes or the Parise/Wild vibes during 2012.

Has me a little worried that they would give up the 2nd pick for someone who would likely only be a half year rental.

Given everything that Fitz has said, there is no way he'd do that type of deal without an extension

Wonder if #2 was tied up with Cgy as the Debrincat stuff went down ?

I think Debrincat not talking extension killed our interest. We easily could have topped Ottawa's offer.

Tkachuk is I think a step above so maybe Fitz was more willing to risk it with him. Trade didn't happen so it is what it is

I hope that Fitz tries to get Puljujarvi now. He should be relatively cheap to acquire. I’m not sure if the Oilers would prefer a pick , prospect , or NHLer in trade? Is our 2nd rounder too much to offer ? Im thinking maybe they want someone closer to NHL ready ?

I hope Fitz doesn’t go off the board tomorrow and pick some random overaged bum or someone projected to go i
about 60 picks later than we take them.

I think if he wants to be on an up and coming team he’d consider it. New York without the media etc.

We’re not a team people would sign with when we’re dogshit but if it’s looking up? There’s some appeal

If someone offered EDM a 2nd he'd be moved by now. It's gonna be a middle rd pick and like a C level prospect

Realistically all the top picks are close enough. I trust the fact that the scouts actually watch the players rather than people on these boards that just read other people's opinions, half of who are not even scouting full time.

If Nemec is the BPA, then I'm fine with the pick. It will be interesting to see what we do with someone like Severson and how we get everyone PP time in the future but there is no reason to complain about the pick.

Also was it Brady who had a good relationship with Jack? I feel like I saw that somewhere.

I think you are right . Debrincat not willing to extend plus we have our own version of Debrincat ( hopefully ) in Holtz . And Tkachuck plays the game the way Fitz wants to acquire . Fitz
has been pretty true to his word and what his plans for the team are . Didn’t siendcassets in anyone that is not controllable for long . Filled a need by drafting Nemec vs. Wright / Cooley . ( agree or disagree with the choice )

Personally I wanna see if we can snag Seamus Casey so we can truly be deep as can be at RHD. It's entirely possible to boot. He just needs to survive four spots
