I still like a couple of the RHD that are available, so I wouldn't mind double dipping. I'm not sure who the top center would be at this point, maybe Beck? Or I guess maybe Jack Hughes lol

There’s quite a few options I like here. Firkus and Gleb would probably be my top 2 options. I the upside is really high there. Firkus could be gone though.

I was thinking of making a list of best players available for day 2, but Fitz is gonna pick a bunch of random unranked bums as per usual and the list will just get our hopes up.

NO DEAL FOR TKACHUK

There was a lot of noise about the future of Calgary Flames’ winger Matthew Tkachuk Thursday.

Before Round 1 got under way at the Bell Centre, the talk was the New Jersey Devils made a pitch to the Flames for Tkachuk that included the No. 2 selection overall. The deal didn’t come to fruition and the Flames went out of their way to try to shut down any Tkachuk talk.

Nobody is sure what Tkachuk’s future is in Calgary, but he’s likely waiting to see what happens with the club’s negotiations with winger Johnny Gaudreau. If he decides to stay then perhaps Tkachuk follows suit by signing a long-term deal.
