There’s quite a few options I like here. Firkus and Gleb would probably be my top 2 options. I the upside is really high there. Firkus could be gone though.

I would personally just pick up Morrison. Dude was an absolute beast. I'm not quite confident he'll fall that much tbh. I personally don't really like anyone else over him since we picked up Nemec with the 1st pick.

There was a lot of noise about the future of Calgary Flames’ winger Matthew Tkachuk Thursday.



Before Round 1 got under way at the Bell Centre, the talk was the New Jersey Devils made a pitch to the Flames for Tkachuk that included the No. 2 selection overall. The deal didn’t come to fruition and the Flames went out of their way to try to shut down any Tkachuk talk.



Nobody is sure what Tkachuk’s future is in Calgary, but he’s likely waiting to see what happens with the club’s negotiations with winger Johnny Gaudreau. If he decides to stay then perhaps Tkachuk follows suit by signing a long-term deal.

Agree with you here. He has not really given me much confidence from his past 2 drafts when it comes to later rounds. Hopefully he learned.

I’d love a high upside pick like Gleb Trikozov, but Fitz has proven to me that that’s too much to expect out of them.
