gaudreau would be the equivalent of tavares. tavares had his most productive season in the first year in toronto and now as the rest of their stars have grown in contender mode is slowly fading away and underperforming his cap hit. even worse matthews, marner and nylander compared their contract request to the tavares contract.

Except we actually need a top 6 winger, Toronto had Auston Matthews and Nazem Kadri. It's nowhere near the same situation no matter you try to spin it.

As a viewer when I see NHL Draft Preview, then I expect a preview of the NHL Draft.

I have no problem with models. Bader is fundamentally dishonest in a bunch of different ways. I’ll do a long post about it sometime.

The Fedotov post was his lowest, most rotten move yet. But yes, he is a sketchy human being as well as the worst prospect evaluator I've ever seen garner any kind of a following. He's basically Mike Milbury, but without the platform.

I think Tavares stuff is also currently overblown. He's still currently worth that deal. If they managed to get Matthews for like 10.5 and Marner for like 9.5 then that's an extra ~2.5 mil

No. I’d illegally negotiate through cutouts like my father and my father’s father did and it’s good enough for me.

You’ll have a good idea about Gadreau at that point. You should probably already have some idea now.

It's a very stressful time lol. Montreal's also at a crazy 46 already. On the other hand there's like Vancouver where there's not much going one besides maybe Miller so they're only at 6

They already know they have top assets for Miller in the bag, they sitting back and waiting for the magic to happen.

That's another point too, but I don't see how us legit needing Gaudreau v what Toronto did as a luxury even though JT was an absolute stud at the time and still is pretty good are even comparable.

Other people know the rule better than me but I believe you have to have held the player since the prior trade deadline to sign them to 8.

I know a lot of people hate these "nonupdate updates" but I like them. If I hear nothing then I don't know if anything's changed. This at least lets me know.
