You a Les Paul guy? If so, do you have back problems too? Those things are HEAVY :)

A possible top 6 with Hughes, Bratt, Debrincat, and Gaudreau. Mites on ice? Yeah not crazy about that.

Hold off on DeBrincat. Wait and see on Johhny instead. I know that pick #2 will have to go probably if we trade for Debrincat ,but I would rather keep assets and try for Johnny.

yes , pass on that. I can’t see us being able to afford all thise guys. It’s either the Cat or Johhny . Unless maybe if we trade Bratt but that woild suck and can’t see Fitz doing that.

I would take DeBrincat over Johnny. Younger and a finisher. Johnny is amazing at driving play but we already excel at that, we need goal scorers and DeBrincat has been one of the top-10 goal scorers in hockey since he entered the league.

The question of whether it's better to pay assets for Cat and get Johnny for just cap space is a different question entirely.

Yeah, I've been pounding the table for DeBrincat more than most here but between the two I rather have Gaudreau because of losing no assets + he fits this team's system like a glove too. It's not like you're signing a hulking power forward who can't skate over DeBrincat.

I like the pickguard for purely aesthetic reasons. I picked up a replica Billie Joe Armstrong Strat clone for my birthday last year. Was debating buying my dad an Olympic white on white Squier since the Jimi Hendrix colors were always on my wish list. And I've always liked the look of the Ibanez Jem, a few years back they released a cheaper version. Although I really don't play much nowadays.

The issue is all those other additions are meaningless if Oettinger falters and that’s certainly possible. Yes he has a good pedigree but at the end of the day he’s a young pretty unproven goalie that could blow up next year. I just would not accept the risk of giving up an unprotected 1st+ for that.

I mean having both Dougie and Fox is FAR from an issue. Sure it’s expensive but they’re worth it.
How many years away are we from people saying I was reaching because I wanted Adam Fox with our #41 overall pick? We took Nathan Bastian. I had Foxy ranked #30 or #31, I think.

100% agreed with this, if it's 1 to 1, it's DeBrincat for me. If it's every factor considered, it's Gaudreau.
