This is what i'm thinking right now

MTL - Wright
NJ - Slafkovsky
ARI - Cooley
SEA - Nemec
PHI - Kemel
CBJ - Jiricek

Maybe Jarmo goes a bit off the board, wouldn't be the first time

Outside of the Boucher pick, they've barely deviated from the consensus in the first round. And when they have, the picks weren't bad.

All the gurus around here could get together and hammer out a list for the first round or two. One list created by hfsens for hfsens. It would be fun to watch the draft and see how it all works out. It would be a lot work though...

7th overall picks have a pretty good history of becoming impact players. Could see CLB going for one of the slightly off consensus euro picks at 6th which would let a Jiricek, Kemell, Savoie, etc fall to us.

Also, in the case of trading out the pick, it is far more likely we get someone underwhelming. Dorion and the Sens organization is significantly less effective at evaluating pro players talent and value than they are at drafting. Even considering a bad draft in 2021 we have a much better chance drafting an impact player than we do trading for one.

Far more likely we lose our 7th for a Dadonov, Stepan, Brassard, Zaitsev than an effective player.
