Who do you think will announce the pick? Suzuki, Suzuki + Caufield, Hughes, Gorton, Marie Phillips Poulin?

I doubt it’ll be Hughes or Gorton…they would probably want more of a reaction by having someone else make the actual pick.

If it’s Poulin you are 100% booing-proof.

Ottawa has the same GM that traded a third round pick for Travis Hamonic when weeks prior he could have got Hamonic for free on waivers.
Yes lets compare a 3rd round pick with what 5% chance of playing in the nhl to a top 10 pick

You really think if Ottawa wants to move #7 Anderson is the best player they can get....

Per Guillaume LeFrancois of LaPresse, the Slaf meeting was supposed to be yesterday but his flight got delayed so they moved it to tomorrow. Not sure if that helps with the context

If the chat had relevance yesterday as peripheral data, that’s assuming the decision hadn’t been taken already, it’s moot now.

Not that anyone likely cares but McCagg will be on TSN690 a little after 4pm ET today.

Melnick kinda calling out people for really giving it to McCagg lately for his draft views but Gallo said, and I agree with him, that in his opinion the reason why people have been very hard on Grant is because of how aggressive he's come across while talking about Wright and his game.

If this Anderson and Dvorak + pick runor is true wow that would be something. Probably taking Murray’s contract back. Clears a ton of cap space in the process as well, mostly in the later years of those 2 big contracts which is important

But potentially moving up to #7 while still having either CGy 1st or the 33rd would be massive. So many options open up. If one of the 2 D fall, I hope we grab them with the 7th or one of the wingers like Lekkerimaki or Gauthier

Imagine:
In:
Wright
Lekkerimaki/Gauthier
Murray
6M in cap hit for 2 years

Out:
Anderson
Dvorak
33rd overall
10M in cap hit for 3 years and 4.5M for an additional 2 years

That makes way more sense then. It was a follow-up to what they were saying during the Vinny presser.

I doubt these meetings change anything.

Wright's family was specifically citing him as the reason they deleted twitter.

Grants a f***ing toilet bowl of a human. There's easy ways to discuss prospects you dislike without going over the top.

Yeah I really don't think Melnick was fully aware of why fans were really giving it to Grant but Gallo was aware of what he's really been getting on with regarding Wright of late and I agree with Gallo here.

It's the same as in North American English, as the language is omnipresent here.

I'll ask my wife if it has the same conotation in France.

It seems like an anglicism. Which is fine, France French also has plenty of anglicisms. I just learned that they don't really use the word ''vedette,'' but that's used all the time in Quebec sports media.

Jimmy Murphy on TSN690 just said the Sens and Habs have had discussions for the 7th pick and two roster players of interest are Anderson and Dvorak. He didn't say both would be in the deal, just that those are the two roster players that Sens are interested in.

Yeah France is weird with anglicisms. Like “parking” instead of staionnement. “Email” instead of courriel. I mean you get that here sometimes, but it’s more prevalent there.
