My thoughts exactly.

Such a bad take from Lavoie. No context whatsoever (whole season missed last year) and some vague arbitrary standard of a generational player D-season. Oh Wright didn't reach it? Sorry Shane, you're not in the conversation for 1OA anymore lmao.

Amateur hour take. Again, there are reasonable causes for concern about Wright, but labeling his season "terrible" and gross hyperbole such as "falling out of his chair if he's selected 1OA" are stretches for the ages. Dear god
Which makes me wonder what his motive is. If he hasn't heard anything, which a lot of us are assuming, is he looking to make HuGo look bad to casual fans (if they choose Wright) with the whole "this is so shocking!" narrative?

It's going to look even more bizarre if they do pick Wright. Like why?

Who’s your internet service provider? I know Bell offers TSN for 1 day for like 7 bucks with the Fibe app.

I’m actually between places myself. Have bell at my new place but no tv lol

Have TV at my old place but no cable 😂

For every Getzlaf there are many more Logan Browns
THIS! Same narrative as KK turning into a Barkov once he was gonna fill out (and countless more).

Gotta be extra careful with picking guys that require a once in a decade (or more) development scenario going right.

If we are trading for #7 they must really think a certain player is going to be there....but who?

Assume we draft Wright this year, then BPA next year is also a Centre. Odds are Suzuki just goes back to right wing no?

He can play both and would provide great depth incase of injuries.
We'll cross that bridge when (if) we reach it.

Or they can rotate between center and wing duties.
Alternatively, we can end up trading one of them for a 1st pair D, or any combination of useful/needed pieces.

What would the Sens want for #7? Would have to include Anderson to start.
Win now means that yea they'd want assets for now so Anderson makes sense, probably add our 26th pick and perhaps a mid tier prospect like a Ylonen/Primeau

I've mentioned it numerous times while many were talking about trading with New Jersey for their 2nd overall pick, that the Top-10 picks I would target would be the Sens' 7th, Wings' 8th, and Sabres' 9th.

And all signs pointing to the Habs' target would be Lekkerimaki since they took him to dinner at the combine.
Wright and Lekkerimaki would be a dream ...

Slaf saying that when he retires, he wants to be known as the best player taken from this draft.

Wright & Cooley said they want their name on the Cup. Built different.
