I wanted Shane Wright... but right now... i'm on Logan Cooley team. This guy have potential to be the best player of this draft in 4-5 years, no doubt about that. I really like his game, he play like Zegras... that will be fun to watch him with Caufield on PP.
Not just on PP, they should play together, period. Would be so exciting.

This. Cooley is so creative and fun to watch.

Wright's play is as dry as his personality.

I mean it's really pretty obvious we are picking Wright. Most of us are just having fun with speculation. The fact that oddmakers are giving you shit odds to bet on Wright is a dead giveaway.
I do agree unfortunately sigh. Although odds can change quickly.

Problem with Cooley, is Suzuki isn't that big already. This can be a problem down the line as physicality becomes more important again (it will, invariably).

With Hughes said... they want the better potential and the best player in 5 years... it's more looking like Logan Cooley.

2 possibilities, I keep being the laughing stock on this board or I make a little wink to the ones concerned, nothing really bad, just worth a good laugh.

You're definitely not a laughing stock. You were extremely high on both Seider & Lundell, and you were right to be. You're passionate about the players you love. Nothing wrong with that.

Keeps things interesting.

Damn, so maybe he's right about Slaf....

Nah man. Wright is boring. That's because he is just about hockey. That's all he cares about. He's a robot with no personality like Crosby. He plays a boring but very effective style because over the long term it has the highest success rate. Simple as that. He's a student of the game. Every team needs a nerd like that.

I get all the hype, but when I watch Wright I am literally bored.

Cooley’s speed and how he can be so deceptive, combined with his playmaking and vision makes him in my opinion tied, and probably even better than Wright. Although Wright is that good defensive 200 foot center teams are looking for, I don’t have a single doubt in my mind Cooley puts up more points in the NHL than Wright and potentially becomes the better player.

I agree but I also get bored when watching prime Getzlaf, Bergeron, Toews, Kopitar, Tavares, O'Reilly, etc. But then I look at the underlying numbers and the on ice impact and revise my perception

I'll applaud @Goldenhands like a madman if his prediction of Slafkovsky at 1st OA comes to life, or if he becomes the best player of his draft. The guy had the balls to call it as he sees it and I respect that, even though I disagree and I believe Wrighr is a special talent we would be dumb to pass on. Go hard or go home, these boards would put me to sleep without those characters who go against the grain.
