Work phone calls? How can you work on a day like this? This draft is clearly more important than a career.
Its not even close. However my boss does not agree and I would like to be able to retire before I take a dirt nap so I guess pretending to work is going to have to happen today until closer to draft time.
44.7% chance to draft 6th? I need to get back to visualizing here.
I am visualizing the shit out of us winning .

Different odds to spice things up.

Interesting...think these are the key tweets and seemingly answer my earlier question, which means NJ has a very slight chance at the #3 pick.

I wouldn't hate if we won the lottery and took Wright. In a few years we could create matchup nightmares for other teams.

Next year we are picking 32 so we are not in the lotto . Don’t need luck . Using it now and save it up for 2035 when we miss the playoffs next

Yeah it's a catch 22, lol. Michkov or Bedard are obviously insane but we can't already be thinking about them or even be in a spot for them.

Meh . Better use of the pick. Ideal outcome is tradimg down ,still get Jiricek and get another pick where we take Miroshnichenko.
OR take Slafkovsky and Chesley . Not too shabby , I’ll take either outcome.

Ideal outcome is getting #2 and drafting Slafkovsky.

If we get #1, I mean...I'm okay with Shane but...another Center? Would rather have the LW'er Slaf.

There's a less than 10% the Devils win the lottery. If they do, there is a pretty low chance they keep the pick. If they do, there's an even lower chance the Devils take Wright.

So, I'd give Shane Wright a (roughly) 0.00002% chance of coming to New Jersey.

Is there any way we can entice Taylor Hall to be in the building on the Devils behalf with some sort of cutting edge, revolutionary lip balm? I know hes got a game tonight, but still.

You absolutely do not move a top 10 pick if you are a rebuilding team. You absolutely absolutely don't move a top 5 pick if you are rebuilding. You absolutely absolutely absolutely don't move a #1 overall pick if you are still rebuilding.

I mean, if Colorado offers Cale Makar? Then sure. But somehow I doubt he's on the market. You certainly don't do it for Kevin Fiala or Brock Boeser or whomever.

I think it makes sense to see whats the best return you get if Slaf, Nemec, Jiricek are all gone and maybe do a trade conditional on those three being gone. There's a major drop off in terms of ability / team need it seems after those three.

Maybe someone pays big for Cooley for example.
