lol. Definitely don't want to trade that pick now.
We will be downright scary once we get a real goalie and coach

Agree. The elite defenseman are so hard to find. I want one of Jiricek or Nemecreal tough choice at 2. i’m always inclined to go with a defenseman
Probably a year away.Is Slafkovsky a guy that steps in immediately next year?

Wouldn't be so quick to say that. Montreal might be really tempted to grab another high end C to have that 1-2 punch down the middle with Suzuki. Suzuki is good, but he projects more as a 2C, Wright might be the 1C they need. It's gonna be interesting.Hubs deffinitly pick Slafkovsky. The winger is they prome need, to complete line with Suzuki-Caufield , Slavkovsky is decided if they hold 1OA
Jiricek is devils!!!!!!
If you don't consider Severson long term then we badly need a long term top 4 RD option to go along with Dougie
That’s short term. Dr Evil will be 30 in two years. Presumably if you sign Severson also you start a Jiricek at RD3 and hope he climbs the depth chart to eclipse those two as they age. You are picking someone in this draft with hopefully a 12-15 year outlook not a three year outlook.Unless Severson doesn't figure into your long term plans, the bigger need is impact wingers.
Once we sign Severson long term we have no spot on our blueline open long term on the right side top 4 for like 6 years.
We still need to draft D, you always draft everywhere for depth, but if you are thinking about what gets the team over the hump, you aren't looking at the blueline
Silly question... if we go for Slaf, would that make Holtz expendable for a RHD?
JIRICEK playing vs men pretty pretty all season, TOI about 20,5:27 "Playing against men".
He's the Devils guy!
How do you feel he projects at the NHL level? What are your thoughts on him as someone who's very familiar with him?As a Slovak, please draft Slafkovsky. I dont wanna see him in Arizona. Poor kid would be probably on xanax after few months.
It’s not like that though. You can’t tell who wins by watching the ball come out. It’s a mathematical bunch of crap amd isn’t simple as a ball with the devils logo on it popping out . It would be very anticlimactic , even more so than the card flip they do.How anti-climatic is that when we can't see the lottery balls bouncing live?
They took away so much of the anticipation.

Ya, but I think Slaf is the better player, and more of what we need, albeit a year or two behind.Or you just keep Holtz and take the RD.
If the guy is 6'4" and as heavy as websites say, I doubt he wouldnt play next year. Thatd be oddIs Slafkovsky a guy that steps in immediately next year?
