Covid outbreak amongst team USA.

just got the push from the athletic. This is going to be shit show.

update: USA forfeited their game today.

How can you have a legit competition anymore, in any league amidst Covid?

Hell - even all of the fantasy leagues im in for the NFL and NHL are a complete shitshow and not even worth doing.

So frustrating.

If Brad Lambert is around 20 the Rangers should be doing a dance.

count me in on Lambert if he slips that far....
I also will jump on the Marco Kasper bandwagon. I love those big centers..
If he puts it all together he could be dangerous.

As Far as the 23 draft goes, obviously far too early for concrete rankings, but there’s a whole lot of quality in those first top 10 picks...
There’s a real solid chance multiple teams come away with a real impact player.
It might be the best 1st around since the Jessiman draft year in 03, where basically if you were blindfolded and pointed to a guys name in the 1st, he was sure to help your team.
There were very few duds. You had to try and find the bad picks in that 1st rd. Of course NYR luck reared it’s ugly head. Parise would have likely had an excellent career as a ranger.........sigh
Same with Getzlaf, Seabrook, Brown, Perry etc

I don't think he's a lock for the first round but it can happen. He needs to keep up his performance for that to happen. He committed to Denver, I think so it gives teams 4 years of control at least.

Havent done much scouting for myself so far. But he looks like a prospect, I would like very late in the 1st rnd as of this moment.

This draft imo will be a big one. The top 10 are insane and imo the team that drafts Wright will regret it most.

Brad Lambert ranked 18 on Button’s list - can either of you guys provide some insight here? Last year he was seen as a possible top 5 guy, maybe even higher. Is this warranted or should the Rangers be doing backflips if this guy is available in the late teens/early 20s?

I mean, it always depends on what else is on the board, but I am confident that if Lambert is on the board when the Rangers pick, he will be the BPA by a mile

Lambert suffers from "Lundell syndrome". Misses some big international game due to injury and Button, who has already proven he doesn't judge EU prospects based on league games, drops him.

Lambert is a top 5 prospect in his draft class. I said the same about Lundell.

Lambert dropped because he had a mediocre season last year and bad start to this season. He has has turned it up the past 6 weeks and is showing why he’s a top 10 pick. Hell be on the rise in most rankings that dropped him.

Thanks. This is why the Rangers need to keep their pick this year (unless its for a legit top six young center)

Lambert that low is huge
I doubt it.
This is similar to me when most scouts/charts had Seider in late teens/early 20s.
No one expected him to go that high to Det, but he was def rated higher by a lot of nhl teams.
I’d be shocked if Lambert makes it past 10-12 picks.
Especially with the way centers have a habit of flying off the board.
Rangers only shot to draft him is to trade up imo
