Seriously, not that I favored one or the other but that 4th quarter was terribly officiated and favored the Chiefs big time. They call the QB hits all season then today it all changes. Some dumb f**k lands on burrow with all his weight and now that is ok. I would be livid if I was the bengals.
Agreed, and the extra week here definitely benefits the ChiefsI don't know if I would pick any team in the league to beat the Eagles, but if Mahomes can get close to 100% by game time you have to believe they have a chance.
You have to be alive to be warm, not the beneficiary of a chemical cocktail that technically makes you undead.KC will win the bowl and we'll be witnessing Mahomes' next step towards GOAT, Brady will be nothing but a warm memory come 2030.
Think about it. Which is the more glamorous team to the Super Bowl? Cincinnati (Burrow) or Kansas City (Mahomes). There lies the answer. Period.
Whether KC or CIN either team has a much better chance of actual human beings making up most of the fan base compared to any team from Philadelphia.Yeah people are a bit nuts saying the NFL wanted Mahomes in the SB cause he’s more of a glamour boy than Burrow…I mean people are making it sound like Burrow is Stan Humphries on the ‘95 Chargers. Burrow was a hair away from winning the SB himself, was a #1 overall pick and has the swag personality everyone loves, the NFL wants to promote him as much as Mahomes.
KC-Philly has more compelling off field storylines to be sure - Reid, the Kelces - but that would still be the case if Mahomes hadn’t become a golden boy yet. And KC isn’t exactly a bigger market nationally than Cinci
Neither?
Neither are glamour franchises although Mahomes is the overwhelming favorite. My brother in law and kids met him and said he was really nice to thr kids. He is ok in my book. His commercials where he makes fun of himself are great.I'll admit I don't watch football any longer, but I do pay some attention and while Burrow gets a lot of coverage, isn't Mahomes the heir apparent to GOAT in the NFL's eyes? What other team in the AFC would the league prefer? Buffalo?
well then
Brady retires 'for good' via Instagram, one year to the day of his retirement 1.0
If anyone can get Wilson back to his best form it will be Payton. His system is very QB friendly. At one point the Saints system had Jameis Winston, Teddy Bridgewater, and Taysom Hill as three of the top four QBs by completion percentage in the league. Payton can score points with me at QB. Probably with me at RB and WR as well. He needs a solid line but it doesn't have to be spectacular, just enough to buy three seconds of protection. His biggest weakness as a play caller is he underuses misdirection and pick plays. He also has a blind spot for defense. NO had to bring in Jeff Ireland to draft defensive players because Payton was screwing up that side of the ball. Get him a similar arrangement in Denver and they will be excellent again.
I don't think Dallas is Payton's dream job despite media speculation. He could have gone there at some point had he wanted to. His ex-wife lives in Dallas and his son might still call that home even if his daughter is in So. California. His daughter is the same age as my oldest son and they have a mutual friend. My middle son used to play flag football against Payton's son so word still floats around. Maybe Jerry Jones can grossly overpay Payton to coach in Dallas but Payton is used to having his way 100% and never being second guessed if it doesn't work. He could have stayed with New Orleans for life as a coach had he wanted to. The scuttlebutt is he left to avoid having to preside over a rebuild. That and he allegedly was hoping a California job was going to open up since that is where his new wife wants to live. If Wilson is 34 he may have three good years left. That's probably Payton's term of thinking. He's arguably the perfect coach for that roster too, reminds me a ton of the Islanders where they kinda have to go for it all before it all falls apart. Super interested if Payton stays for the impending rebuild in Denver or he leaves again and waits for his dream job in Dallas to open up. I think Dallas would've fired McCarthy pretty soon too which is why I'm surprised he jumped on this Denver chance.
Not a Brady fan, but this is kind of crazy...
