Tonight is the NFL opener. One more sign after the NCAA openers that hockey is just around the corner. At least tonight's game should be good.

The dumbest players at any big time football program are LSU players to my eyes. Selfish undisciplined and terrible decision makers way too often. The Bama players played like that today.
Thank goodness we won't need to listen to any CFP talk this season although NBC will do it's best to somehow insert them into the picture.
Some really big time upsets yesterday. Some other close calls as well.
Takes some of the national spotlight off ND, though im sure the pressure is on in South Bend.
Meanwhile on the banks of the ole Raritan, Rutgers plays the part of Big Ten school beating up on an overmatched opponent.
Interesting to see how Schiano handles the QB position. Simon looks like the better passer but Wimsatt brings the running threat. They’ve split time pretty evenly thus far. Does that continue deeper into the season?
Temple up next so we should be 3-0 going into the conf opener vs Iowa, who has looked lousy offensively, in Piscataway. Take care of business next week and then maybe we can really start building up some excitement for Rutgers football.

Kelly left for a rebuilding LSU for a reason. Something is up with either him or thr current state of the Notre Dame football program.
Academic standards make it very difficult to win there.
Think Urban noted it when his name was rumored for the job way back when.
Kelly hit his ceiling there, but being in the SEC proposes its own challenges.
