Not watching but googled it given your post.

Some guy Chris Nowinski was ripping the league pregame for letting Tua play. And then that happens.
He shoulda never been cleared to return in last weeks game. They can say back injury all they want but those symptoms he displayed last week definately weren’t consistent with a back injury

Yeah that’s my concern after last week. These guys have to stop pretending they aren’t concussed
Ive felt the league had been doing so much better in this regard. Seems odd that they let Tua slip through.

Didnt see that one either but my brother told me about it. As i say above it seems weird that it slipped through. In the games i watch they’ve been all over those obvious concussion situations.

I’ve unfortunately had 5 concussions in my life. My last one I hit the back of my head playing hockey. Apparently my arms were raised in the air in the same fashion, the fencing response. Scary stuff. It was the last time I played competitive hockey.

Maybe concussion #5 is why I make Dano memes. :sarcasm:

Nobody told me there'd be days like these...

I’m not sure of all the specifics but last week he claimed he wasn’t concussed but had a back injury. Maybe he did but I wonder if he got over on the system and then this. I really think the culture of playing with any injury that doesn’t make you incapable of dragging yourself onto the field is a big problem.

As an oft injured guy maybe he was just trying to prove he can stay on the field? Especially after finally breaking out as a player. Thats where the team and league need to step in though.

Tua has to be smarter then that, but it's the coaches and trainers jobs to protect players from themselves.

And there are supposed to be independent concussion spotters specifically to avoid teams making bad decisions

The league needs to stop playing Thursday night games. Keep the Thanksgiving games but make sure the teams that play are coming off a bye week.
You’ll get Tuesday Wednesday and Friday night football and you’ll like it.

They let him play tonight after this.

Massive fail by the Dolphins and by the league

Aren’t there league spotters as well? Or am i mixing up leagues?

Again i feel incidents like this the player is always pulled. And this one is as obvious as you can get.

Or only during bye week season where both teams have the week prior off.

Not that i really care about thursday night games.

They apparently do. They put him in protocol and somehow he "passed"
To be fair maybe he did? Maybe they need a flat rule like if you wobble you are out? But that is subjective. And to be sure fans will get bent if player x is pulled for what could be a guy tripping over a pile of players or something.

It’s the sick part of the NFL. Man up no matter what. The worst part is the players have allowed this to happen.
Its money in their pockets as well.
