I didn’t see it yet, I’m not discrediting any of his claims but the timing of it seems off ? There’s still multiple Hc openings and he’s currently in the running for two of Them as a finalist. I think it would have been a better tactic to wait until you were completely shunned out by all 10 teams looking for a hc and file a lawsuit based on 1/3rd of the league basically not hiring you
there is a conflict between Flores and his lawyers. Flores wants the NFL to make real substantive change. He trusts that people of conscience won't hold his lawsuit against him while he looks for another coaching gig. His lawyers want the maximum publicity and during the ESPN interview already floated dismissing the case if the NFL "does the right thing" for the class action claimants. I wonder what the "right thing" will encompass.
I'm pretty convinced if the NFL implemented a legit top down plan that would provide a real path and real opportunity to coaches from communities traditionally shunned by NFL teams (that is more than men from BIPOC backgrounds, women have had a tough go of it as well) and Flores saw that it would work, the lawyers would say "no". I'm skeptical they actually care about fixing the problem unless they get paid.
