Jacksonville's 2017 was one of the most hilarious one-offs in history. They should have legit gone to the Super Bowl at least that year, and basically every other year before and since in the last decade plus their over/under for losses is like twelve. Even more ironic is that Allen Robinson was hurt that year, and every healthy year he had in Jacksonville he was on a garbage team.

Even better news for Giants fans is that Mara says they'll hire a GM and let the GM decide on the coach. The ownership has ALWAYS had GM's and coaches report directly to them, this is actually a new direction.

How did the rams and cardinals get screwed into a Monday night game ?. Who ever wins that will essentially be on a short week for the divisional

They had to pick one game for the MNF slot since they weren't going to put all six games on Saturday and Sunday. They arguably screwed the Raiders even more by dumping them into the Saturday afternoon game after they played five periods of emotion-charged Sunday night football - that could have been avoided.

It's sad seeing fans convincing themselves it's a good idea to keep Judge right now, that somehow him being around isn't going to totally taint the GM search because ownership clearly don't want to fire him.

No other team who has cleaned house is operating this way. Only the Giants

Well, the Jets fired MacCagnan and kept Adam Gase

The Jets going back to the Rex-Idzik 'experiment' too often tried to copy the Giants mode of keeping the GM and coach separate (and were even worse when they let Adam Gase be the de facto GM), but now that Douglas seems to have organizational control and actually did hire his own coach, hopefully those days are over.

f***inv finally.

I wonder what made Mara change his mind. Fan uproar after initially announcing that he was staying? Some other factor that caused a reconsideration?

I'm happy Judge got fired, but I'm curious why the sudden reversal. It makes the Giants look even more clownish and indecisive.

My bet is every credible GM candidate told him to kick rocks if Judge was still in the building.

Look, I don't care as long as Judge is gone
