Ya….you drink that shit to get rid of a cold though lol

Not the best tasting booze around

With Suzuki, you can shoot down a shot of Yamazaki whiskey (best whiskey I’ve ever sipped back on)

Cole Caufield some good old Canadian Club lol
Have you ever had Malort? It's a Chicago thing and probably the most disgusting alcohol out there. Jäger is ambrosia compared to it.

But he was completely covered by Canada.

So was everyone. On an island skill wise against a team full of 1st round picks.

I was hoping Czechia would win so I could see Sale in the same situation.

My sleeper from the Czechia team is Stancl. He scored a nice goal and had another play where he danced the team and just got stopped. Really nice shooting and hands on a big frame. Skating wasn't bad either.

What I'm saying is that a guy like Raymond would not have been completely covered, he was uncoverable at this level.

Maybe I don't think Raymond played against any team that was close to as talented as this Canada group and he also played with Holtz who was a legitimate top 10 talent himself.

The support for Otto on his line is a couple of 2nd rounders.

The Hlinka was in Red Deer? Wasn't it always in Czech or something?

Yea. It was in Czech and Slovakia every year before. But a few years ago (I believe it was in 2018), Hockey Canada patnered with Czech Ice Hockey Association and Slovak Ice Hockey Federation. That was when the tournament went from the Ivan Hlinka Memorial to the Hlinka-Gretzky.

And now, the tournament is held in Canada one year and in Czech & Slovakia the next year.

True. Sweden has maybe 2 or 3 players that could be 2023 1st rounders or high 2nd rounders. Canada has 8 or 9. Stenberg is as good as most of Canada's Hlinka top prospects.

Raymond did play at Hlinka against a strong Canadian team - he was very visible.
ie. Raymond was more Yager level - Stenberg at this point is not in that group. I think it's a good indication.

Steinbergs, Miracle Mart and then Steinbergs became Miracle Food Mart.

No one shopped at Dominion’s?

I met one of the Steinberg daughters. She’s a lover of music, buys tickets to every event at the big venues, scoops up a ton of merch at each show and films everything. Does the same when she goes to Florida in winter.

In before @Habs Icing intervenes with “you guys are really dating yourselves.”

LOL! No...he's a dman. If you want to feel old, he was born a couple months after Carey Price was drafted by the Habs.

Oliver Bonk (also a dman) is former Hab Radek Bonk's son.
wow - yeah I am getting old (pushing 50 soon)!! I just think a goalie trio of: Carey Price, Cayden Primeau and Caden Price would kill!! CP3o

I remember Dominion-had one near my local Perette's..

I used to like going with my parents to Steinberg's - the store seemed so big at the time. paper bagging, then those bag tags - then wait for a guy to put the bags in our car.. what a time!!

Paper bagging clerk was a cush job - along with working at a video store.

In my youth, the expression in french was not '' Je m'en vais faire l'épicerie'' It was ''Je m'en vais faire mon Steinberg''.
I always liked the Gazette billboard near the Turcotte Yards - Les Mots Dit Anglais! lol, that would never fly today, someone would get offended and kick up a stink.

Steinberg's!? Dominion's!? You must all come from Westmount and la di da families.:sarcasm:

My folks were immigrants. They shopped at the local mom-and-pop shops or should I say haggled with mom and pop. We weren't high class spenders like you guys.:sarcasm:

How poor were you, Habs Icing?

Well, let me give you an example that will paint a picture. I can remember as an innocent child going to the Jean Talon Market with my mom. Buying a live chicken. Coming home and watching her kill it in the kitchen sink. We didn't live out in the sticks. We lived in Montreal. La Petite Patrie.

That story will teach Runner:sarcasm: not to mention me when you guys are dating yourselves.
