You can tell he's pretty much the heart and soul of the team leadership wise too, he's not wearing the C for nothing. He leads by exemple , first guy trying to block a shot , back checking hard, etc. He reminds me of Carlo Colaiacovo a bit ( the young version, before the injuries really took a toll on his game) .

Habs have a deep prospect pool but we dont have much elite talent aside from Juraj and hopefully Guhle

Allen has that Erik Karlsson magical shot that always seems to find its way through multiple bodies and get on net. He can also blast it without a full windup. It opens up a lot of options offensively for him.

He’s also built like Subban. 5’11, but sturdy and really hard to knock off the puck.

I thought he flashed the most on the Finland roster. Obviously it's early and I want to see it over a sustained period but is looking like a good second round pick right now. Really good vision and implication.

I'm not sure but you could be right. My guess is, it's to balance minutes and they have a few guys who are there that need minutes who are more offensively inclined but aren't super trust worthy yet defensively (Molendyk and Tourigny)
