Yes it's crazy............it's a business, they make money off the advertising on sports programming where eyeballs are watching, it's not a mom and pop hobbyists playground just for kicks you know.
So how exactly do they make more money by not broadcasting than by broadcasting?

And family, friends, scouts etc. of course.

Hockey Canada paid 7.6 mill on sexual assault settlements they got the money its just a mess there they need proper spanking.

They make money by showing other sporting events that are a fair bit more popular then a pre tournament game in an under 18 hockey tournament that features 2 teams from small countries in Europe .

Now I have no choice but to ask................your posts here regarding this matter really aren't serious right?

I mean they can't be, this must be for a joke or something.

Swiss roster:

Goaltenders (2): Huet Ewan (Lausanne HC), Simeoni Diego (EHC Biel-Bienne)

Defensemen: (7): Balestra Nic (EV Zug), Horak Tim (EV Zug), Lichtensteiger Yanik (HC Davos), Martin Thibault (Fribourg-Gottéron), Niedermann Nino (GCK/ZSC Lions), Palmisano Matteo (Fribourg-Gottéron), Schneller Eric (Rögle BK / SWE)

Forwards (13): Braillard Léo (EHC Biel-Bienne), Embacher Janis (SCRJ Lakers), Etique Zachary (EHC Biel-Bienne), Froidevaux Lorin (EHC Biel-Bienne), Graf Alain (SC Bern), Hull Valdemar (Fribourg-Gottéron), Kaser Guillaume (EHC Biel-Bienne), Lindemann Colin Sean (Leksands IF / SWE), Meier Rafael (EHC Kloten), Meier Simon (EHC Kloten), Pauli Maurice (SCL Tigers), Pedrazzini Gioele (HC Lugano), Zürcher Kevin (SC Bern)

No sign of Gruber. I have no idea if he is hurt again or if our glorious federation has cut him for reasons only they can understand. If he is hurt again its certainly concerning for his future outlook. He was missing games at regular intervals last year.
Gruber isn’t injured I saw him practicing in wetzikon a few days ago.

Wrong. They have 5 channels and they are showing garbage that nobody will be watching at the time the early games would be on. Would it cost them much to show the 1:00 pm games when the crews are already there?

They must have already crunched the numbers on this and found the programming they have on is more advantageous to them then showing some inconsequential pre lim game involving whoever in an under 18 tournament that is still trying to catch on in Canada or it would be on, they are a business after all.

I can't see them throwing away money because of indifference or sheer laziness, can you? I mean it's hockey, I'm sure if the demand was there for under 18 pre lim games and since they have the rights it would be on but it's not.

What is garbage to you and me must not be to other people.

I can;t account for other peoples preferences.

Hey!!! I like the CFL. :)

I have wondered that myself. Why not show the tournament during the summer doldrums? TSN must have their reasons.

The CHL draws flies on TV so, perhaps, the U18's do as well and it's not worth it.

The CFL does quite well in certain markets in Canada. Theres solid interest and advertisement that goes along with it.

As an American fan, I always look forward to this tournament because it's our B team versus Canada's best. A useful yardstick for measuring our progress against the hockey country that's perennially the one to beat.
