Overall a sloppy period that both teams will be thinking "we can play better". But can they?

Canada easily cruises to gold with this level of opponent.

Swedes were better in first for sure... Nice top for the lead. I'd say Swedes are executing better and czechs are struggling as they definitely had looks but none of them felt dangerous.

Classic swede lead over a Czech team.

I blame myself for tuning in really.lol

Instead of watching the Canada game, I went to see "Nope".

The movie is terrible and Canada won, so I made the wrong choice.
 
I can't tell you how many large goaltenders i've seen destroy their advancement because they make themselves small. Say what you want about Giguere but he used the only real asset he had and used it to good effect.
 
Streaming issues.. missed second goal. But tuned into another failed 5 on 3. That is 3 minutes of 5 on 3 and no goal... Swedes earning their victory so far
 
Just as a sidenote... This is a semi final with inexpensive tickets .. there are no streams and an empty arena. Why was this moved to Canada? I understand U20 because they sell that out in NHL arenas... But don't tell me breclav would've been empty right now (or for Canada vs Finland) and no streams... My point is that I don't see any improvements

It may be unfair but when tall goalies get beat high and are on their knees I get the Koskinen krankies

We've been good.. not a usual Swedish asskicking but have blown some 5 on 3s and Swedes are captilizing. I have no complaints.lol

In fairness... He got smoked!lol. If he's standing that shot doesn't even come close. I doubt the Swede thought he was scoring. I could be wrong as I'm cranky right now though
