With no 1st it make things very interesting, there is a lot of potential in the forwards in the pipeline. Will they all make it? Obviously not, but while the Kings wait to see what they have in Vilardi, Turcotte, Fagemo, Byfield, Kaliyev, Chromiak, Simontival, Laferriere, Thomas, Pinelli, Helenius, JAD they can take a big swing on a player that isn’t a need need for like 3-4 years.

Shoot they can afford to snag a Russian that drops and wait for them to come over at like 23-24.

They also need some size and grit through the prospects, lots of options out there for a bit of everything. Except goalies, not a big fan of this years crop.

I read it more of a "if he's there, they'll take him then."

It's very likely many of these players will be gone.
