Prospect Info: 2022 Draft: 3OA - Logan Cooley, C

Does he give Bedard a challenge for the Calder? Obviously he isn't even a lock for the NHL next year but seeing how he's elevated his game the NCAA might be too easy, and he might light up the AHL too

Thanks, I just looked it up. Does he play with Snuggerud and Knies?
Has all year. Cooley is the most skilled player on that team and arguably the best. Knies may win the Hobey Baker but I'm not even sure he's in the top 2 on the Gophers.

They really have to stop doing the Hobey Baker right before the championship game.

Or at least delay it on the occasion when a player is up for both.

Absolutely agree. I thought Cooley was trying to force way too many plays tonight. Probably because he wanted to prove everyone wrong that he deserved the award. Obviously that's not what a good teammate should do but hard to blame him too for not wanting to show off a little.

It could have been coincidental but Cooley instigated and it was a high stick. Feel bad for him

A pulled goalie plus being shorthanded was understandably tough to defend for Minnesota for that game-tying goal. But, Cooley's tournament was a standout performance amongst his typically older peers. The tough loss may be a good learning experience for him. Below are his potential final 10 games of his college career. Sure, he will want the last one back, but quite impressive for a freshman.

I disagree. I thought the other team played Cooley's line perfectly, and that line became more and more frustrated and it ended with that dumb penalty to Cooley.

Maybe a dumb question, but is it correct that Cooley cannot pull a Blake Wherler under the current CBA?
