Didn't I hear about him having a "nagging minor injury" before the season started. I'll blame it on that.Isn't this how Cooley's year went last year? Fairly slow start and then the offense ramped up? Being able to make adjustments and grow his game over the course of the year seems like a big positive.
He’s not and he never was. Canadian media likes to prop their boys. Wright is also a bigger, natural center. Cooley was a gift to AZ. They did their homework and fell in love with the person and player.Am I missing something? I know it is early, but given everything, don't know why anyone would think Wright is in the same dimension as Cooley right now, much less ahead of him.
Because 6 months ago everyone thought (myself included) he was the best player in the draft. Cooley was a surprise pick at 3 as the top C taken. He has played extremely well though since and has passed Wright simply because he looks to be a much more dynamic playerAm I missing something? Next year? I see him signing after the frozen four and burning a year off his ELC.It's nuts that just before Christmas I actually thought he needed to go back to college for one year.
Now I'd be shocked if he isn't a pro next year. Whether it's in the NHL or AHL is to be determined.
Isn’t there only one day difference between frozen four and coyotes last game?Next year? I see him signing after the frozen four and burning a year off his ELC.
Err... 2 but I stand corrected and was thinking about Smith signing last season and forgetting that last season ended later than usual. Thank you for the correction and it would only make sense if the team never makes it out of the regionals.Isn’t there only one day difference between frozen four and coyotes last game?
He will sign an AHL contract and play with the Roadrunners.Frozen Four is April 6-8, after that, only two Coyotes games left. Side note- it will be interesting to see if is considered for the USA World Championship team in May or if they give the spot to a draft eligible like Fantilli.
He’s gonna turn pro 100% but the plan depends on timing of availability.Any updates with Cooley and what to expect as the season winds down?
Because "The NHL is not a developmental league"Remember when Keller turned pro and then Tippett scratched him? Good times.
Everyone knows that player's have peaked by the time they're ready for the NHL. Duh!Because "The NHL is not a developmental league"
Down 2-1 @ the end of the 2nd, then score 8 goals in the 3rd...

I think "development" have different meanings for you two, than the coaches and GM's.Everyone knows that player's have peaked by the time they're ready for the NHL. Duh!
