Prospect Info: 2022 8OA, Marco Kasper

I would be shocked if he didn't. Griffins need a desperate injection of scoring and Marco could help get Danielson scoring again and lift the monkey off his back. Lombardi is still out, so having a speed tandem of Kasper and Danielson 1-2 punch at C is something they haven't had for 2.5 months with Lombardi being out

GR play tomorrow, Friday, Saturday, and next Wednesday. Keeping Marco in form for Detroit and boosting GR I think is a win-win
You really run the risk of Marco falling off a cliff during our play off run then. The rookie wall is real and he’s already going to be close to hitting it. I don’t think he should play in GR. Let him rest. But the farm team standings doesn’t matter a ton to me.

Even if it's one or two games with rests in between I'd be okay with that for him

How many other teams are sending their first line winger back to the AHL during the break?

You send him down and some AHL goon wrecks him and takes him out of the lineup?

The risk isn't anywhere close to worth it for the couple game tune up. How much, if any improvement is Kasper truly going to get?

It’s for cap space. Yzerman has done that his whole time here. They’ve been very strict when it comes to young prospects and moving them back and forth for cap space. Doesn’t make much sense to me either but that’s why they do it.

They are likely to have a bonus overage into the 25/26 season due to Kane's bonuses (and perhaps even Edvinsson and/or Kasper's ELC bonuses). Maximizing cap space this season will minimize the overage that carries into 25/26.

I understand why they do it, but it is poor form for an employer. Kasper is losing a lot of money because of this.
They can’t be running a professional sports organisation thinking like that. They’re doing what’s best for the team cap wise, today and in the future. Kasper will be more than fine.

This too. But I think main goal is to build biggest possible cap space for the deadline, for some possible deals.

Rookie wall is real, but usually it will affect on guys who don't play more than ~50 game seasons earlier under their belt.

Kasper has played huge amount of games already on his career years, so I think he can handle the NHL load.
