Probably Florida - Tampa?
I would normally disagree about the Leafs, but playing Ottawa might make that different.Florida-Tampa and Dallas-Colorado. Honorable mentions to Blues-Jets and Leafs-Sens.
Leafs and Sens are both top ten in hits. Leafs also had 13 different players pick up a fighting major this season, and statistically are one of the heaviest teams. I get the soft rep from previous years where Dubas would trade a first for Foligno or sign an over the hill Wayne Simmonds to address 'toughness', but the team is past those days.I would normally disagree about the Leafs, but playing Ottawa might make that different.
I think TB-Florida will be the hardest hitting. Good list
I mentioned it above. I'm actually more surprised that nobody else has said Dallas/Colorado.Sens Leafs?
#4 in hits per game (Sens) vs #8 (Leafs). Battle of Ontario, so some natural animosity built right in. I could see that series getting very physical very early.
I dont know about that, Vegas should be able to last 5 or 6 games.I'd suggest Wild Knights, but it may be a short series
Honestly Colorado and Dallas really dont play that kind of game.I mentioned it above. I'm actually more surprised that nobody else has said Dallas/Colorado.
That is surprising, I never really have them as a physical team.Leafs and Sens are both top ten in hits. I'm not sure where the Sens got their reputation as a physical team. Not saying they're soft or anything but no they're not abusing anyone in the playoffs just yetOilers and Kings will get ugly is my guess, in the best way possible..
Leafs will get pounded by the Sens, so not really physical. More like one-way abuse.
