Personally, I vote for one more NCAA season and a WJC. Smaller type players should not be rushed and they need to be ready physically for the NHL or AHL. One more NCAA year will help IMO. There are some men in the NCAA and he has more time to add muscle.

You beat me to this. 100% agree.
For one, NCAA facilities are top notch and, secondly, the NCAA schedule is built to help the players work on their physique away from the ice.

The weight on elite prospect is incorrect though.
He's listed as 148 lbs, but the last we heard he was 161 lbs.
He's also now 6'4" and we expect to see him grow into his frame at 245 lbs.

Where's Barron? Guhle with Barron makes more sense to me, Mailloux is a work in progress.

Guhle - Barron
Hutson - Xhekaj
Harris - Mailloux
I'm not excessively fond of Hutson with Xhekaj playing on his off side, or any D playing ion their off side. Any d playing with Hutson will have stacked duties playing a physical role in their own zone and, while I can appreciate choosing Xhekaj to play that physical role, I think we need fresh blood on the right side.

For example, looming UFA Severson (28), would be a good pairing partner for Hutson, although I would prefer a younger RHD who can grow ans perform longer with Hutson.

Hutson can play on both sides already, it's not a problem for him. Also they're not going to need much defense with their combined offensive output.

Severson is a defense nightmare.

Romanov ? no, he wasn't . He always has been recognized for his physical play , never he was supposed to turn into an offensive or great dman
As I said.

Romanov looked like an absolute stud at both WJCs, not necessarily like the next Makar, but certainly as good as a top pairing Dman just based strictly off his WJC performances.

That hasn't quite translated to the NHL.

The point i'm making is, I don't draw NHL conclusions based on WJCs samples.

He must be 5'11 by now right?

If he isn't 5'11" and 180 lbs yet, I think they should get rid of the guy. Don't even trade him, just relinquish his rights. He has no value.

Can you imagine if he hit 6' by the end if his sophomore season?

If this ever happens, this will be HF Habs the day it's announced:

Drew O'Connor was a forward who was 5'9" when he was like 17-18, and NCAA Division-I schools weren't lining up to recruit him. He finally got a scholarship at Dartmouth. He also had a late growth spurt. He ended up growing to 6'3" and over 200 lbs. He was signed by the Pens as an undrafted free agent. He is with the NHL club now, although he gets more time in the AHL, where he's been a PPG player, putting up 73 pts in a total of 73 games.

Part of the problem was O'Connor's size. Standing at "probably 5-9," many of the top-tier college programs overlooked the Chatham, New Jersey native. But O'Connor did realize his dream after being accepted by the prestigious Ivy League school Dartmouth.

And Dartmouth was fortunate, too. Because what was once a weakness (size) became a strength when a late growth spurt brought O'Connor, who signed a two-year contract with Pittsburgh that begins in the 2020-21 season, to 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds.

"I was pretty small a little while ago. I did grow pretty late," O'Connor said. "Growing into my body a little bit has been helpful for me. Trying to adapt to my game now as a bigger guy has been a bit part of everything."
