Put him on a weight gainer regime. I was thin, like 135lbs thin during highschool, until I hit 19 yo. Started training, drank 2, sometimes 3 quickmass shakes in 3% milk every day. Got to 200lbs within 3-4 years.
I’ve forwarded this to Kent so that him and his development staff can implement this.

This is just a claim that he is making and he has every reason to present his bias. I know many short guys who made similar claims about their older siblings/parents/uncles etc. and it did not work out for them at all.

The doctor basic only said that growth is not impossible but for people on here to pretend that is likely is wishful thinking.

I hope the kid grows as well but he would be a fool to count on it.
Wouldn't this medical information have been available at the combine?

Watch this kid PPG it off the bat man,
Would be sooo fun

One guy I remember is Mac Bennett. Uncles Harvey and Curt were 6'3'' and 6'4'' and Timmins talked about that...

At Development Camp, he was listed at 5'9" and 148 lbs. So going by BU's profile, he's gained 7 pounds since Development Camp.

But here is where it gets confusing with Hutson's height and weight. Because at various places where he was measured, he's had different results:

NHL Combine: 5'8.25" and 158 lbs
Dev. Camp: 5'9" and 148 lbs
BU's Profile: 5'9" and 155 lbs

So according to Habs and BU, Hutson's grown an inch since the combine. However, when you look at his weight, it looks like he lost 10 pounds between combine and camp and gained 7 from camp to BU.
Geez, would I love to see that happen to me...if I lose every lb that I'm overweight of, I'd be 12 feet high....

was intrigued when saw the title, this guy is ranking Hutson 4th of all habs prospects.
danslescoulisses is far from being a good reference but this particular writer is a good one
It was actually a very good reading with some interesting takes
in French only tho:

I really think, if Hutson can't handle big forwards, he can play as a 4th line forward (or 3rd liner) and be a pp QB.

He already looks like a forward playing defense. I don't see why he can't be a forward that plays defense on the PP.

It's not impossible to dress 7 Ds, 14 forwards and 2 Gs. I see zero problem getting Hutson into the lineup as a PP specialist, worst case scenario.

It is impossible to dress that many players. NHL rules only allow you to dress 20 players in a game, even if 23 are prermitted on the roster.

If he ends up being a liability 5 on 5 as a dman, I would see if he can be a decent forward 5 on 5 at least, and then also use him as the pp QB.

Like Mark Streit in 2008?

62 points baby. Great season by Streit. His highest point total ever was that season as a winger (3rd liner!) and PP QB.

Streit said afterwards that he would have signed an extension for 2M aav over 3 years at christmas time. Gainey let him walk and Streit signed a huge deal in NYI. I like Gainey overall. But asset management wasn't his strong suite.

The author is a casual fan at best and and fails to demonstrate any sense of noteworthy hockey acumen. I want Lane to succeed as much as anyone but this is just another fluff piece unworthy of being exposed to any avid hockey fan.

Lane has some incredibly exciting gifts and has some potentially fatal flaws...... the kid is a huge gamer so I would not bet against him but don't get too aroused by the pom poms.

Absolutely. I should have said keep, not dress.

As a forward, he can be an insurance policy in case of injury to a D and a coach can always double-shift a few forwards to monitor Hutson's TOI given game situations.

There's always a way to use him in the lineup.

I was reading Chris Chelios wiki page for some reason and it says Chelios at 18 years old returned home and grew three inches while adding 40 pounds of muscle. So it is possible.
I grew 3 inches the summer I was 18. 6 Months. With pretty shit nutrition. If he can reach 5-9 and 165 ish muscle at 21 that would be good. With his apparent skills. Any less than 165 would be a problem in NHL for him I think.
