At Development Camp, he was listed at 5'9" and 148 lbs. So going by BU's profile, he's gained 7 pounds since Development Camp.

But here is where it gets confusing with Hutson's height and weight. Because at various places where he was measured, he's had different results:

NHL Combine: 5'8.25" and 158 lbs
Dev. Camp: 5'9" and 148 lbs
BU's Profile: 5'9" and 155 lbs

So according to Habs and BU, Hutson's grown an inch since the combine. However, when you look at his weight, it looks like he lost 10 pounds between combine and camp and gained 7 from camp to BU.

...most humans' weight bounces around constantly...weigh yourself before & after you hit the Throne in the morning...sometimes the difference is negligible and sometimes it is like you just dropped a kid...

Height and weight figures for hockey players have to be the greatest sources of confusion that continue to go unresolved.

The measurements ought to be taken by one source with cutting edge technology and that source’s accuracy and reliability has to be certified by authoritative and credible third parties, on a recurring basis.

Any measurements not obtained via said source should just be ignored.

It’s not rocket science. How primitive is it that in 2022, we’re still finding so many discrepancies on the measuring of standard vitals? Someone ought to tackle this once and for all.

@Toene will have something to say about this, I’m afraid.

...he must eat 50 lbs of calories a day or be down to about 73 pounds by week's end...:biglaugh:
It's less about the quantity, it's more about the explosivity of it. Sure, you could say there's weight to it, not in terms of mass but the heavy pressure from the expulsion.

I keep wondering about the accuracy of these measurements. Different sources produce variances.

Did Boston U measure him last year at this time?
Agreed. It's all over the place. Honestly, if the guy has the talent, he'll get a shot. Then the team will see if he can survive in the NHL.
If he is 5'9 and adds some muscle, I see him getting a good look given his talent.

No worse than Q Hughes or S Girard
Exactly. If he can grow another inch and be 5f10 180 pounds he could be electric in the nhl. By far my crush of the draft i jumped in the living room when i heard "from ntdp" as they selected him.

I see him as a krug minus the shot and mean streak but better edges and playmaking. This kid could be a cornerstone for our franchise we should be happy to have him 😎🤟

For Chrissakes, Bouillon was 5'8" and built like a brick shithouse, weighing 194 lbs. He had St-Louis-like legs and could check the bejeezus out of opponents.

Hutson, at 5'8", 180 lbs, with a low center of gravity, could hold his own quite well in the NHL, IMO, given his tool kit.

The more he keeps the puck in the O-zone, the less his size will be an issue ;)
