Why would people be happy with bobrovsky?
One fewer year on the contract. Also a significantly less harmful buyout than Karlsson if we go down that road. It’s a moot point because I doubt he would waive his NTC to go to the Sharks.

If you seriously think Phil Myers (now waived by two teams in less than a year) is better than Benning just admit you don’t know anything about either player.

Wait, you mean we can get that much for Timo??

If we do trade him, I really hope it's for a Tkachuk style sign and trade to maximize his value. Pick up a 5th instead of a 7th.
For the same money as Meier's QO, we can afford nearly nine Matt Bennings! Imagine what our blue line would be like with that much Benning depth!

I really hope we trade Meier - and if we can get Karlsson off the books, even better. Our chances for Bedard - or at least a top 3 pick - go way up and the cap freedom will significantly help in the rebuild. I also hope that Meier can bring a 1st + legitimate D or center prospect. We need to essentially start over - Hertl/couple of other guys can stay and be the vets.

This is the current ideal scenario. But man it would be nice if we didn't have Hertl on the books this year. I can't stand Joe Will for that decision.
