If we do trade him, I really hope it's for a Tkachuk style sign and trade to maximize his value. Pick up a 5th instead of a 7th.

Our chances for Bedard - or at least a top 3 pick - go way up and the cap freedom will significantly help in the rebuild. I also hope that Meier can bring a 1st + legitimate D or center prospect. We need to essentially start over - Hertl/couple of other guys can stay and be the vets.

This is the current ideal scenario. But man it would be nice if we didn't have Hertl on the books this year. I can't stand Joe Will for that decision.
