Lol. Touché. Replace one shitty wood for another.I’d say half-knowledgeable would be a fitting way to describe a Sharks fan who thought Wedgewood was on our team, considering he in fact, is not.

Bring him home"It was awesome," Pavelski said. "We saw the headlines, and we drove by it enough as it was being built a little bit last year. Then going in there, I was super impressed at that stadium that's going to be in there and what a great size, a great feel it's going to have for an (ECHL) game. It's going to be a facility that's going to get a lot of use.
The to-be-determined Lake Tahoe ECHL franchise will begin play in October 2024 and become the first ECHL team to play in the Pacific time zone. The Wisconsin-born Pavelski, who played the first 13 years of his career with the San Jose Sharks, said it's nice to see more pro hockey in Northern California/Nevada.
"It's interesting how the game is (moving into California) with the Sharks having the Barracudas (in the AHL) in San Jose and Edmonton's team in California (in Bakersfield ), a lot of that hockey has been coming out here," Pavelski said. "It'll be interesting how it keeps developing."
The 39-year-old Pavelski recently led Dallas to the Western Conference Finals where it lost to eventually Stanley Cup winners, Las Vegas. He scored 28 regular-season goals, his most since netting 38 in his final season in San Jose in 2018-19. Pavelski also became the all-time leading playoff goal scorer among U.S.-born players with 72.
Despite his new home in Texas, he's one of the fan favorites at the ACC because of his Sharks tenure. Pavelski is second in franchise history in goals scored behind Patrick Marleau.
"That was always one thing I was really surprised about is how many Sharks fans made it up here, and it will always be a special place for me and my family," Pavelski said. "Our time in San Jose, we had so many great moments and memories together. It's fun to see the fans. It's fun to hear them talk about some of the memories and wish we were still wearing a teal jersey. But we've found a good spot in Dallas and enjoyed the last four years there and looking forward to one more, and we'll see what happens from there."

Pavs to SJ 2024 confirmed?!
Doubt it. All of the interviews he's given make it sound like he's pretty solidly shut the door on that chapter of his life. His business interests away from hockey are back home in WI, he seems really involved in the Dallas area, and he sold the house right away. Right now I'd have him at 50/50 on a 1-day retire as a Shark contract when he hangs 'em up, just because of how well the second act with Dallas has gone."It was awesome," Pavelski said. Sounds like he is playing into what the local media wants to hear."It was awesome," Pavelski said. "We saw the headlines, and we drove by it enough as it was being built a little bit last year. Why not? He’s the best captain in franchise history and still a hell of a player. I would rather players like Smith and Eklund learn from and model themselves after Pavs than Logan Couture. It would be a nice story… but why?
I mean from his perspective he’ll basically be closing the door on any ideas of winning a cup.Why not? He’s the best captain in franchise history and still a hell of a player. I would rather players like Smith and Eklund learn from and model themselves after Pavs than Logan Couture.
We also currently only have 6 forwards signed for 24-25.
We can trade him to a contender at the deadline. I also don't get the feeling Pavs is the kind of guy to sign a bunch of one-year deals at the end of his career to chase a Cup but maybe I'm wrong about that.I mean from his perspective he’ll basically be closing the door on any ideas of winning a cup.
Yeah I read that and woof... that's rough.Oof, the Kaut interview is brutal, re: Barracuda. I really, really dislike what he’s alleging about how they wanted him to play and hope this is a thing Grier also disagrees with and will change. It feels like hockey in the 80s.
AHL coaching staff was hired before Grier for some inexplicable reason. I really hope he fires Joe Will and John McCarthy and puts his own people in place. Those are important roles during a rebuild.Oof, the Kaut interview is brutal, re: Barracuda. It seems silly to ask anyone to fight as a means to be in the nhl these days. It’s not convincing me that McCarthy is right for the job.Oof, the Kaut interview is brutal, re: Barracuda.
