Kills me seeing Dylan Cozen highlights...much less Stuetzle or Zegras.

Watching highlights from around the league after hours of Stützle score yet again and these are the thoughts of despair that immediately start to creep in...

People fell in love with the idea of Byfield but seemed to not realize that it was based on nothing but hope. Stutzle was always the better player. Always.

Kings aren't a real team. A nice power play doesn't change that.

Felt like the playoffs started last week against Edmonton and they haven't answered the bell unless they are playing a garbage team.

Said the same thing about Kaliyev- he clearly has elite offensive gifts and Tmac burys him on the 4th and healthy scratches him. Imagine we had a coach who could have modeled him into a top line player and gotten legit PP time. Hell- all he had to do was setup a PP wit Kaliyev blasting one timers and hes good for 20 goals. The fact he has as many points he has playing 4th line minutes is remarkable.

Thats because Kali losses like 8 of 10 board battles along with many miscellaneous turnovers.

They left the back door wide open in the first, valuable lesson before playoffs.

That was Korpisalo's worst game since we acquired him. Tonight, he looked bad on 3 of the 5 goals scored on him. Copley comes in and stops 22 of 22 in almost 40 mins of relief. I might add that not all the shots on Copley were cheap ones, as he made some sharp saves on some tough shots. While Korpisalo has a better SV%, the Kings Win% is not as good. Kings play their best games with Copper in net.

Copper saved TMac's job and is the King's MVP for getting them in the playoffs. Stats tell part of the story, but they don't paint the whole picture. There is a presence that Copper has when he plays that stats can't support. I think Copper deserves to be the Game 1 playoff starter. Korpisalo has the 9 game .941 SV% to fall on if needed.

There is one other factor why Copley should start over Korpisalo in the playoffs, and that is Copley's puck handling skill set. Korpisalo doesn't handle the puck as well in regard to being a 3rd d-man back there. Copley's assertiveness handling the puck helps against fast fore-checks of the Oilers/Vegas. He can relieve pressure where some of the Kings d-men might not see the whole ice when retrieving the puck behind the net.

Masterclass in choking and piss poor management at the perfect time, guess it should be expected by now.

I'm at the point where I hope for a sweep and a front office house cleaning.

I'm not impressed by going on a fully healthy run against teams with a vested interest in losing, I AM disgusted by this team and management completely folding under any sign of pressure or adversity against playoff teams.

Boohoo you've got a few injuries and a bad call or two, somehow other teams don't instantly turn into shellshocked puddles when things go slightly wrong.

BSW ticker watching...Cozens 31...Edvinsson 2 ? I had no idea he was called up by the Wings....and has 2 goals in 6 games. 2 more than Turcotte. 1 less than Byfield. A player that was a project and had 2 goals in the SHL last year. Expecting to see BSW ticker Stutzle 40, before the end of the season...

The Kings are going to need some 2nd to 4th round players over achieve. BIGLY. Paging Alex Laferriere. Paging Francesco Pinelli. And needing Clarke to become a cross between Makar/Josi.

I think we need to point the finger at TMac again. It's the coaches job to get the best out of the players and put together a good game plan to put the team in a good position to win games. Important players are out of the lineup in Fiala, Villardi, Anderson, with Edler being a good enough vet as part of the 3rd d-pairing. TMac has not adjusted the team good enough with these players out of the lineup. He's been out coached by both Bruce Cassidy and Jay Woodcroft.

Frustrating. Frustrating. Frustrating. The thing that is frustrating about this team is that you can see this team's potential. We saw it all last month, but when you push came to shove (almost quite literally), this team has folded against the 2 teams that they are in direct competition with and with whom they are most likely to play in the playoffs. If that's not a red flag I don't know what it. And I get it, injuries are piling up, but if you want to be taken seriously as a contender you can't fold like a house of cards so easily.

3 games. 3 games to figure out your game. The game tonight is a game you cannot have at this time of year. I'm left more questions than answers at this point.

Johnny Utah, you always play a single note - but it rings true. These pillow biters are joke. Even Doughty last season said they need to get tougher.. Yea I have noticed it multiple times this year. Win a couple playing really well then Todd starts to tinker and scratch. Then theyll lose and hell continue to trot out the same everything.

I'm not a T-Mac guy but this is on the players 100%. They don't need a Koala to tell them they aren't supposed to be bitches. You're supposed to play a certain way since you were a teenager and Blake has somehow put together a team that has almost entirely not played the right way for his entire management career.

Kings might end up in a worse position after Lombardi/Sutter leaving. We're looking at several first round picks potentially busting as top 6 players. Or the Kings win the cup despite Todd/Blake

Stutzle scored more in his rookie year than Byfield has in his entire NHL career.

I get there are projects and prospects develop at their own speeds, some much slower than others. Byfield still has a chance to become a good player in this league. But we need to stop deluding ourselves. Stutzle is the better player now and in the near future. There is no argument.

Does anyone legitimately see Quinton Byfield becoming a 40 goal point per game forward in this league? Please wake the f*** up. Unlike in years past, he has been given every opportunity to succeed since his call up. He has played top line minutes with both Kempe and Kopitar. PP time. The full platter. And what has he done with it? A smattering of assists and three f***ing goals?

He has completely shrunk in the face of meaningful playoff-like hockey down the stretch. That’s damning in my book. He never asserts himself. He plays piss pants scared. Not physical. Not anything. Just a big dumb talented hockey player, all the tools and no toolbox.

I really started to throw my support behind QB this back half of the season, but the way he has wilted in the face of pressure these past 7-8 games really bothers me.

Eight games in a row now without a single point. Embarrassing for a player of his talent, draft pedigree, TOI, and opportunity.

I agree with you man. Qb is looking awful. I watched him live the other night and he look so discombobulated. He is a turnover machine behind the net and along the boards. And whenever he has a rush chance , he blows it.

Not sure how much more I can get behind this kid. Just comparing him to Tim and it’s not even close. I don’t care about injures, the drive and skill is not even close.

The depressing thing is that I don’t think Beckerman or whoever the hell is supposed to watching from on high will even notice how much Blake/Luc have f***ed this franchise for another several years of abysmal finishes.

Meanwhile this team is just as far away from a championship now than they were in 2017/2018. Blake has done nothing with this franchise besides change the window dressing around Kopitar and Doughty and call it a contender.
