like I said if Vilarde, Fiala and Anderson are not back at the start of playoffs. Kings will be 4 and done.

2nd period changes were great, team was responding, then he goes and f***s it all up for the 3rd and the team falls flat and he doesn't change a thing until the game's over

This game was so bad they just sent Carryln home after the 1st period. Her services weren't need for the rest of the game. :D

Quicks like "I could've won this game"

Because he was the 2nd best player at the draft. You don't pass that up . He's only 20 BTW. They weren't looking for NHL ready. There was no way in hell he'd have started his draft year. Stutzle was awful year one and should've stayed in junior too.

Stutzle scored more in his rookie year than Byfield has in his entire NHL career.

I get there are projects and prospects develop at their own speeds, some much slower than others. Byfield still has a chance to become a good player in this league. But we need to stop deluding ourselves. Stutzle is the better player now and in the near future. There is no argument.

Does anyone legitimately see Quinton Byfield becoming a 40 goal point per game forward in this league? Please wake the f*** up. Unlike in years past, he has been given every opportunity to succeed since his call up. He has played top line minutes with both Kempe and Kopitar. PP time. The full platter. And what has he done with it? A smattering of assists and three f***ing goals?

He has completely shrunk in the face of meaningful playoff-like hockey down the stretch. That’s damning in my book. He never asserts himself. He plays piss pants scared. Not physical. Not anything. Just a big dumb talented hockey player, all the tools and no toolbox.

I really started to throw my support behind QB this back half of the season, but the way he has wilted in the face of pressure these past 7-8 games really bothers me.

Eight games in a row now without a single point. Embarrassing for a player of his talent, draft pedigree, TOI, and opportunity.

It’s not even worth replying to him. He and Kurrillo are the village laughing stock, followed by Axl.

personally i interpreted that as more of a challenge to the team

he was really hung out to dry there in the 1st and the 5th was a mercy killing. he immediately changed all the lines and things started working (better than they were up to that point anyway)

Spot on - its very disappointing. On the bright side we may have a true breakout player in Clarke - 3 points tonite 14 pts in the playoffs

Or call a Timeout for that matter? hes just content to watch the implosion. There has been probably 6-8 games this season the train was off the rails and he did nothing but watch. He calls a TO or makes some routine coaching change, Kings maybe turn a loss into at least an OT point.

But nah- watch the crap hit the fan and make changes once the game is out of hand. My criticisms from game 10 are the same for game 78. Im ready to roll the dice with Jim Hiller or Jaret Stoll for the playoffs. Tmac just average in all areas and clearly shown his in game mgmt skills non existent.

Good enough to beat bad teams with a full roster- not good enough to win tight games under any type of adversity.

I think whats obvious and is pretty common criticism is the guy has no feel for in game coaching... I dont think many would contest this.

he can put together a solid pregame strategy but once the pucks drops- just impotent on managing in game ebb and flow. He played Bjornfot with Doughty- smart move but that probably could happened the 5th or 50th game of the season. Maybe could have happened at any point when it was obvious Edlers foot speed was not league minimum, like Durzis defense is not league minimum. Maybe in game 79 its all going to come together? Probably a 5-6 point swing on the season employng the most rudimentary, time tested coaching strategies- but here we are.

I never understood Durzi's role on the team this year 2nd pair and PK. I like Spence much better than Durzi because he has much more savvy in the d-zone and isnt giving up much or anything to Durzi on offense. Spence has a solid slap shot and quick release. I really want to see what he can do, but because he's waiver eligible he's sitting... and that was even conceded by Tmac.

Remember how good the Kings were playing when Durzi was injured? Shows how bad he is.
Sometimes its weird but this is true.
I would give J. $pentz a look.
Same goes for Copley, I was leaning towards him after last game and right now I am leaning towards him a little more.
The Kings were poor in front of Korpi, but he was bad too, worst game yet.
Therefore , I reward Copper and give him the start against the Avs and tell him, to show me what you can do against these guys.
For the Avs:
I leave the top 2 lines because Kopi they scored the first offsides goal.

Grund - Lizzo -Kupa -
Iaf -JAD - Kali

Bjo - Dough
Gav -Roy
Walk - Spence

Copper
Copely gave up 6 a few weeks back and got pulled. Not sure if you could call anything a bad goal. Mostly bad luck on goals 1 and 2 or 3 . Never seen a goal allowed after the net has been knock off like that by the same team. The rest was just flat out bad defense and turnovers.
Korpi has to have Kessels wraparound, and he missed the puck leading to goal 5.
That off the pegs goal was hockey history, it was off for 2 seconds.
the situation room must be pounding Molsons.
After what McDicvid did to Mikey, what insult to give Mcewe a 5 major.

Again I start Copper in the playoffs, and then to Korpi after the first loss unless Copley is playing like is in the last 2.

Spence is a better RHD than everyone on this team not named Doughty and Roy. And yet how many opportunities has he been given?

Just a joke. The failures of this team fall squarely on the shoulders of McLellan and Blake.

If Fiala, Vilardi, and Anderson are out for the playoffs, we may be outright swept by Edmonton.

Rob Blake hires his buddy from San Jose and we all suffer for it. Dallas Eakins or Willie D. would have done a better job this past week.

MacEwen takes a 5 and gets smoked lol.

Bring back Lemieux please.

Kings are so soft.

I was sitting front row and the Kings had Doughty, Arvidsson, Walker and Danault on the ice and it looked like a bunch of midgets compared to the Knights.

Watching highlights from around the league after hours of Stützle score yet again and these are the thoughts of despair that immediately start to creep in...

When you watch Tim play it's like he's possessed. He's a man-on-a-mission in a sense. It's like Byfield doesn't even know what that would entail.
